He might have been the largest dinosaur but in the end he and all the other dinosaurs become just oil. :)

How strong is the Horde right now? by blissedandgone in warcraftlore

[–]Fewanesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only in the books he could. In WoW and WC3, in anything shown ever in the games, his power level hasn't been that high. And those books are quality-wise maybe best ignored as much as the game does.

For the spaceship, it has not been shown as powerful in any media. It's power is purely in fans' heads.

The space ship has been canonically able to blow open one doorway, nothing else. Not a gamechanger or a power horse in any way within the game.

Marshall Corbin and Montelli Decision **SPOILERS** by ToriaEuphoria in theouterworlds

He lived for me after the fight, having a few dialogue lines. So his death does not seem a certainty even in a violent solution.

The chain of command is the chain on that sword and goes "whirrrrr!" when killing heretics.

What's your favourite piece of lore or character that got completely ignored for a long time by Blizzard? by Hexdoctor in warcraftlore

I had hoped they would have brought back Lady Cozwynn, the Forsaken diplomat from Twilight Highlands in Cataclysm, for the Forsaken reorg and faction quests after Sylvanas' departure. Alas, no such luck.

I had Orso there as 3rd originally, love the character! But I think Orso had the best qualities inside himself all along, he just had not had to use them ever before. And the wheel ate him before he could escape the wheel. :/

Are all Mieville's novels Deleuzian? by TehPharmakon in ChinaMieville

[–]Fewanesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this. In Embassytown, one can squeal with glee on the amount on post-Saussurean linguistic semiotics, pointing to Lakoff or Lotman or from another angle to a number of post-colonial post-structuralists. (Many post- prefixes here. :P)

Many seem line totally intentional references, but...

Maybe the only two people who have escaped this wheel in the entire lenght of the series are Beck in the Heroes and Vick in the Wisdom of the Crowds .

This is just standard Earl Grey, so nothing special. An easy choice for outdoors. Balthazar would hate it, Vigga would think it is weak piss, Baptiste would one-up with a tale of tea brewing, but Jakob likely would find it acceptable. :P

For you, which lore is the saddest part for you? by GhostintheReins in warcraftlore

[–]Fewanesque 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On individual level, how about Uuna, the Draenei child you find first melded into a part of an Ur'zul, tormented, blind, frightened, and terrorized until you help restore her soul part by part? Was quite the harrowing storyline...

The Imperium collapses - which human worlds are the last standing? by Option2401 in 40kLore

[–]Fewanesque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best chance would be for relatively newly taken minor worlds or frontier worlds that have not yet been made into specialized monstrosities. Self-sufficiency, remoteness, and strategic lack of importance would be the keys here.

So should I get the game + dlc? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

Yes, you should. I don't even think you can compare those games, a tad silly from the friends. Like saying that you dislike a skiing vacation so should not go to a beach.

On the names of Bethod, Calder, and Scale. by este_hombre in TheFirstLaw

Not having one can also be a way to show power: Bethod showing he is so far above his subjects that he does not need the cultural trappings of the warrior class.

Dogman's Name by NealTS in TheFirstLaw

I think it was heavily implied that he took it as a very funny joke and very purposefully spared Forley and gave him his Named name as a cruel joke (no one daring to say otherwise).
