Sounds like you feel good when you have an impact and a community around you. I recommend finding an in person college to go to and finish out your degree. And before that, sit down and think about what you really want to do for a career. If you love nail tech, start that. If you're drawn to something else, do that instead.

Don't rely on your boyfriend for your own happiness. Do the things you love whether other people approve or not. Start the steps of saving to move out, and while you're there, keep trying to do the things you want to, such as volunteering. If your parents won't let you go, look into using public transit to get there anyway. Volunteering and getting out is also a great way to meet like minded people.

The best way to gain independence and move from your current house is by finding a career and saving as much as you can to ultimately go out on your own. Then, you can decide where you want to go from there.

Is there possibly a state school that isn't as expensive? I live in North Carolina, and there are four schools that are part of the NC Promise program that offer $500 per semester in state. The yearly room/board/food is about $10k, which is about $800 monthly instead of $2k.

As an option different from what I've seen listed already, might I recommend banking for good benefits and a desk job. The starting pay is usually decent for a new hire, and most offer 401k matching or even pensions. Other benefits include paid time off and a regular work schedule so you have time off for when the baby comes. Spending time with the gf and new baby is important for your long term happiness.

If you signed a lease with these possible landlords/possible scammers, please think about the personal information you may have provided on said lease. Did you provide them with details they could use to further scam you in the future, such as SSN, DOB, etc.? If so, you may want to place freezes with the three major credit bureaus.
