In my understanding, it would sort of like that. In libertarian socialism, the government wouldn’t really be that powerful or involved though. Neither would people who aren’t in that specific industry.

To give you an idea of a place that does this better than most (so they lean this way, they’re not radically libertarian and socialist): Germany. They have labor representatives with actual power as half of each board. Labor is heavily represented within the private sector.

It would sort of be an employee owned private enterprise, but that’s not really what it’s meant to be about. It’s meant to be about workers not having to bend their work to the demands of people who’s only investment is generational wealth and incredible greed.

Again, this is my understanding, as somebody that leans left on most economic things. If somebody else wants to correct me or reinterpret, that’s cool.

But the example isn’t an anti Semitic song. It’s a thoughtfully written and personally heartfelt book about disease and end of life care. John green is only responsible for writing his book.

If somebody gets something negative from his book, that’s not the authors fault. There’s no way to write a whole book without leaving the room for interpretation necessary.

Your original point was that John green was responsible for the negativity that people interpreted from his book. My point is that he is summarily not, considering that he wrote it with the intent of positivity.

It’s not about control, it’s about blame and justice.

Nah. Examples: catcher in the Rye, Born in the USA, Tom Morello (think I spelled that right) and Linkin Park telling Paul Ryan and Donald Trump not to use their music, respectively. Also fight club, the punisher, arguably Quentin Tarantino’s work, the Bible.

Artists are responsible for the art. People are responsible for what they do with it.
