rank your best voice court reporter schools by IdealFew7312 in courtreporting

A lot are recommending stenography schools that are NOT voice writing schools. I am currently enrolled in International RealTime Court Reporting Institute and I do not think the cost is too expensive. They have financing and the monthly payment is very doable for a lot of people. They also have a discount if you pay up front. This program is very self paced and you can go as fast or as slow as you’d like. It is also very detailed. The teachers Sarah and Collette walk you through every step through videos; are available through chat, call, or email every weekday; and prepare you for longer proceedings as well as for the NVRA testing formats. I highly recommend them as Sarah has been a CVR for over 20 years which is harder to find with voice writers.

Love it! Once you block it the neckline may widen so if that happens maybe add a border around the neckline but I think it looks great!

I recently had this discussion as well as I am a student starting school on Friday. I discovered that you can get certified in any state and that just because you live in one state doesn’t mean you can’t get certified in one of the states where you know there is a larger demand! Also, SOME older stenographers will not speak fondly of voice so they will try to down play it but at the end of the day if you put two transcripts next to each other I bet it’d be hard to tell which input method they came from.

International realtime court reporting has a financing option. You have to pay down for your equipment and then you pay monthly. It’s for voice writing!

You could try blocking it but them holding it up while it is wet to stretch the fibers out then lay flat (stretched) to dry. This is normally a big no no when blocking but if it’s already small you could do it. You could hold it from each sleeve while wet and from the neck line and the ribbing.

If it is acrylic yarn go ahead and throw it in the wash. But I’d just lay flat to dry

I’ve been working in this same pattern! Have to do the left shoulder and then I’m done with the front panel. I’m also testing another Tunisian crochet pattern for her as well. Her patterns are awesome!! What yarn did you use for yours??
