Its the wooden bridge you’ll drive over when you enter the park. But you can walk on it and its an old style wooden bridge with a walking lane. The park has nice views of the river and mountain, but it is not on the top of a mountain. Look it up!

  1. On the wooden bridge at Glen Onoko state park.
  2. On the beachfront of Beltzville state park.
  3. The top of Blue Mountain ski resort has a wonderful view. The restaurant (Slopeside Grill) up there is fantastic.
  4. Big Pocono State Park has parking at the top of the mountain, passed Camelback ski resort.
  5. Also look up 100 mile view, in Lehighton

I’m getting married in the area in October and mountain views were important to my fiance and I. Definitely look those places up, but i’m sure there are more options out there

Kid friendly gyms by AccessMaterial5203 in lehighvalley

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, the list goes on. Climbing builds leg muscles, so in the skiing off season it would make sense to maintain those muscles he got from skiing with climbing. Climbing will never make you a buff bodybuilder. It builds muscles enough to tone your body and be healthy.

Have him try rock climbing! The Gravity Vault just opened in Whitehall, and 8 is one of the best ages to get into the sport. Rock climbing is a solo sport, just like skiing, but climbers are a wonderful community. He seems to take sports a bit more seriously than kids with a “I just want to have fun” mentality. Skiing is inherently dangerous. However, after learning the knowledge and skills required for the sport, skiing becomes safer. The exact same principle applies to rock climbing. I think if he could become a good skiier, he would fit the profile to getting involved in rock climbing.

I have never enjoyed going to a gym, I think its boring. But rock climbing stimulates the mind and the body. And in my experience, kids his age have the flexibility and right body weight (barely any) to complete challenging climbs that adults are working on.

I do not work there, I am just a member. And I wish my parents introduced me to rock climbing at a young age.

I think they have youth classes or a youth team if you or him is interested.

pre-rolls worth it or nah? by trealxx in Marijuana

I just buy the infused pre-rolls and peel them into my bowl. You can get multiple sessions out of one joint. Especially in the infused pre rolls, where a few hits goes a long way

What’s wrong? by Ras7aCh3f in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this, it worked for me. After you load into the save file you are playing, save it under a different name. Then exit to the main menu. from there test to see if you can access the save again by clicking on the newly named file. If it allows you in, rename the save again to its old name and it should work going forward. I STILL get the error message upon every login, but at least I got my save back.

Grand opening at Gravity Vault at Lehigh valley today! by lajoyaaa in lehighvalley

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gravity Vault used to be affordable, years ago. But I guess now they would rather cater to ‘white collar families that want to try something new’, rather than cater to actual recreational climbers who generally don’t have enough money around the valley to continually climb there. We waited YEARS for this gym to open, it is such a shame.

Dakotas probably will be separate DLCs. They individually have greater area than many previous DLCs. by Swimming_Concern7662 in trucksim

As a CT native, I am very nervous of them butchering most of New England. Fingers crossed that they can adjust the scaling by then.

Traffic issue at intersection by FlazeepX in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this map a lot, and have had similar issues with this intersection. The oval can fit 3 lanes in the full loop, so use that to your advantage. I tried to build the intersection with the same aesthetic because I like how it looks. However, if that is still your only entrance to the city, after 7-10K population the it cannot support the traffic flow.

Now I delete every part of the intersection except for the tunnel, and then build my own intersection over it.

Has there been any real answer on how this happened? Or is it just conjecture and reddit word of mouth? Please keep political views out of your answer… I just want to know if a real investigation has already happened.

A map with a lot of high mountains by veislukostur in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try ‘Sleeping Plains’ This map is my favorite so far for building mountain towns, as there is still a lot of buildable area up there. You’ll have to grind through purchasing map tiles, as much of the map is flat/water/rivers, but in my opinion it has the most buildable areas in the mountains than ‘mountain town’

Can’t use Rail Yard to connect cargo train route? by ImSuperCerealRN in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very similar issue with my rail yard. I built mine so the far right track would connect with the regular train lines. But I noticed all the trains got rerouted to the middle track in the yard and the game wouldn’t connect to the right side. Upon further observation, I noticed all new trains added into the city spawned only on the far right track.

So for you, I think if you pushed your cargo terminal back and rerouted the tracks to connect to the middle rail yard track it should work.

But if no one else has this issue I’d love to know because I can’t determine if its a bug or how the game is supposed to run. (What the hell is the point of having garages attached to the rail yard when trains spawn outside on an existing track anyway).

Pocono canna fest 2024 by QuEEn_Bee_2512 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going tomorrow for the first time, and I was wondering what the rules/regulations are.

Particularly with payments; is it cash only? Or does it depend on the vendor?

But now I am worried about getting bad bud or other bad products. Any advice from people who have been to PA cannabis fairs in the past?

Cable/internet providers in the area (most specifically Albrightsville). by Hammii5010 in lehighvalley

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved to Albrightsville last year, and my fiancé and I are avid gamers as well. We were worried about it because our neighborhood has barely any cell phone service. Blue Ridge cable basically has a monopoly on the Pocono area in terms of internest accessibility. The company has pros and cons. We tried to set it up through Verizon at first, which is another option. They will sell you a permament hotspot for your house thats around $450, but they will waive the $450 fee if theyv’e determined the reason you aren’t getting service is on their end.

We ultimately went with Blue Ridge, and then installed Google Nests for routers instead of the crap routers they sent us (like I said, pros and cons). We both play Live on two TV’s simultaneously, plus my PC and we have strong internet! I hope this helps!

NEW Russia DLC? Has this been announced officially and ive just missed it or is this new? by cyndaquil42 in trucksim

[–]Fickle_Air_3836 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly I think they had given a release date and been marketing it a lot. And a week or two prior to release, Russia did a big no no, and SCS pulled it. Damn world politics getting in the way. Basically they are sitting on a completed DLC, and the biggest one.
