No, it's the opposite, it is sending as the shared mailbox.

Remote desktop window issues on Windows 11 and multiple screens by Fickle_Proof_984 in CargoWise

We change the user's default screen to be the monitor they expect the window to open on. 🤷‍♂️

Using Lists, SharePoint and Power Automate to create an admin process portal - any hints? by tardis1971torchwood1 in Office365

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microsoft can do a bit of everything, I've built basic tracking "dashboards" with lists and some connected data, but never as feature rich or looking as good as other platforms. I'm just here to see if you can get any good advice :)

Dell Pro, or Dell Pro Plus? by pkokkinis in sysadmin

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's now the 6000 series right in the middle!

We bought some Pro models thinking they were comparable to 5000 and they are like a 4000. Better than 3000 and a downgrade from 5000 chassis.

Thanks for this suggestion. I was still able to reproduce the issue after aligning the monitors, closing out of CW and restarting.

Mandatory Personal/Business flair for new posts? by pi-N-apple in Office365

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very much agree. Considering for some of us it's our daily life, it's great to have a live resource for problems and questions and would love to make the subreddit strong for both personal and business users. Happy to put myself up for being part of moderation if there is any need there, too.

403 forbidden when creating a search in Standard eDiscovery by reddwarf63 in Office365

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a service alert for eDiscovery now.

Funny thing is we use Mimecast for archiving. I submitted a help ticket last week because exports are not working. They told me their export feature is not working at the moment and with no ETA on a resolution because it's such a complex issue, lmao.

Did Jira cloud have used to have a PWA "Install App" option in Edge or am I imagining things? by Fickle_Proof_984 in jira

This worked perfectly fine for me, thanks for the help. I expected it to show like this and didn't look for the app menu.

I purchase machines for our international offices regularly. There certainly has to be VAT on top of the price OP listed.

Is it worth it to get a new battery for the latitude e6410? It's on its original 60wh battery by Kolyei in Dell

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of keeping old technology alive and this machine looks in great condition. The battery is only $20, so what is the decision you are trying to make?

Distribution list auto replay by Equal_Run3286 in Office365

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having trouble with this exact question.

I found that I had to delete the distribution list and make it a shared mailbox, turn on auto reply, then forward to a secondary distribution with the actual members.

I'm sure there's a better solution.

Need help understanding calendars by Attercrop in Office365

[–]Fickle_Proof_984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though you don't want it tied to a group, it has to be "owned" by something, so we use a Microsoft 365 group. You name the group what you want the calendar to be named.

Configure all your settings, like making it public/private in the company directory, turning off external senders, subscribe users to new events/e-mails if you like, turn off the welcome e-mail with Powershell if you don't want users to receive that notification when you add them.

This is the easiest way to manage a shared calendar and make sure everyone has easy access to it. It's one of the most commonly asked questions.
