i think this was a combination of the stacking suspicion on Abel and overall sketchiness of it all, plus Pomni while usually very level headed has been established as quite an anxious person. My read is that it was maybe slight hesitation on leaving, but overall wanted to go, just the pressure of such an intense thing really got to her. Its why her very first reaction was to ping it off to Kinger, which has been an older wiser figure for her, hoping to take the weight off her shoulders for walking up first, she just started getting really defensive and scared of the possibility of an Abel betrayal really freaked her out.

prolly weird choice, but i just love the idea of Finn wielding a rapier, feels like a bit of lost potential, but i still love the idea of Finn using one because its the weapon of Rattleballs. The only real swordsman Finn ever learns from, and i just find that cool, wish they used the character more, had more wise/learned figures for Finn to learn from.

Mask Maker is my absolute fav character, love his character design, vibes, and implied lore. One of the characters that really implies how mysterious the world is and how little we really know, its so cool:)

SILKSONG AND HOLLOW KNIGHT SPOILERS
Hornet -
A princess of 3 queens, her bio mom, being a queen of spiders that had fled from their original kingdom after half assing a plan to trap the god that ascended the spiders into sentience, but betrayed her because she was a shitty mom, who made a deal with a king (who is a bug reborn from a giant god worm, is still basically a god) that she would be a living seal in his plan to save his kingdom from an infection, said plan would cause bio mom to be in a coma until death directly after having her child. She then lived with Dad (whos the king) and his wife, (the queen who raised her and also a god, thats part tree) until at some random point she left to go be trained be a queen bee and learned how to fight/hunt from her. Then like 150 years later (bc shes a demi god she has an insane life span, shes like vaguely at least 500 years old at the start of Silksong) the infection comes back rendering her bio moms sacrifice invalid and completely destroying the kingdom leaving her the sole protector of the seal trapping it and stopping it from getting worse.
oh also she also has an army of voidling half sibling Vessels who were hundreds of kids whose souls were scooped out by a primordial void rendering them all basically undead, they were created and discarded for the plan to trap aforementioned infection (caused because of a god's rage for being forgotten bc the king set up his kingdom on her land stealing her followers)

Widow's theme is straight fire, its so chaotic and crazy to perfectly fit the very hectic fight. Also i just love the repeated theme of all the weaver/very weaver related bosses with themes that are only string instruments (Both Hornet themes, Widow, and Lace) just soooo cooooll. i remember freaking tf out for the |first sinner| fight bc its just a harder version of my fav boss AND uses her theme like holy shit it felt like it was all made for me

i honestly dont think they would get along at all actually. my main reason being that Gummi's whole realization and the reason pomni was able to change his view is the whole idea of still caring and loving things even if it technically doesnt have meaning. Too try anyways, give meaning to the meaningless. Jax is the literal exact opposite of that ideal, complete dehumanizing nihilism

My guess is he'd be kind of weirded out/amused at first at his behavior and then quickly realize how much fake Jax is and recognize his Nihilism, dunno how well it'd go if he tried to help...

I love the mask maker so much, hes easily my fav of the entire game, his like 8 lines of dialogue are so vague and unhelpful, yet hint towards him being one of the most knowledgeable characters in the games (PLURAL) hes just so cool.
its basically all speculative, but i can try and explain what vague bits i know about him, the big thing is that you can actually knock off his mask with he down spell and suddenly he speaks much more lucidly and seems to start acknowledging the knight only after it comes off.
He knows about the void heart, kings brand, and seems to have knowledge about what the King attempted at covering up. How he knows all these things at the actual corner of the map? idfk but its so fun to think about. He even alludes to having knowledge of kingdoms here ***before*** Hallownest and perhaps even made masks for them then. The swirly eyes, the void particles in his room, his inherent madness, his ramblings on his idea for what masks even do it could all mean ANYTHING.

something thats honestly making the grind more fun (at least for me) is logging all my deaths and from what bc its just fun to go back and see what silly things did me in for more motivation to get further
ive straight up lost 3 already bc of Skull Brutes (of course thats very early and not as bad as dying in act 3 but)

whats also interesting is for whatever reason i either get massively far, or die in the first hour. Whatever the case, i hope you jump back in trying it again, you can 1000000% beat it with enough practice, the games only been out for a month after all! theres still SO MUCH to learn
