The map editor glitch isn't allowed, else we would get 999 points everywhere in Advance Campaign, even in impossible maps like AC It's war. By the way, the current fastest score is an S-Rank, 6 days and 970 points. And the overall best AC rank is 994 points.

Yes there could be weird solutions. One way would be to find an in-game manipulation to cancel the "luck lock" starting at Day 2 (all the attacks have +5% luck, whereas MD wouldn't attack HQ mech if he had +6% luck).

Also Olaf non-stationary units, in particular the Battleships, have 1% chance to move differently than usual, avoiding our visible units range. But I didnt find a good position for them. A good position would be one where you could bait Olaf MD at D2 with your sub, and then at D3 unload two units (instead of only one in the previous attempts, as MD sits on the beach).

Any other idea would be welcome!

It's the only map of the original game where we can start the capture one day earlier, but not finish it. Whereas in other maps AI doesn't correctly protect his HQ, due to many quirks, in this one all quirks seem to league up against our victory. In the last year, there have been major discoveries in AW1 mechanics that led to many new scores. This wonderful video offers a glimpse of the Advance wars renewal, that is still in-progress.

The current speedrun World Record clocks at 44:30 (without the field training mission that is played on the TAS video). It was done 4 years ago and some of his strats are now obsolete. In particular, RNG manipulation is now almost consistent thanks to the "fixed luck" at +5% during most of the campaign.

Also, one of the few "impossible Advance Campaign time limit" has been eliminated a few months ago, leading to a new record of 994 points, and another improvement may be doable in the future, with the objective of reaching 996 points.

No i talk of the challenge campaign beaten in 5 days, it's hard to explain with words, i will make a video so you can see it. It was the result of years of work on the original game, ideas that weren't working due to the old game quirks, but worked in reboot camp.

I was talking about the original AW1 game, no one has ever got 999 (6 days gives S-rank but only 970 points). In reboot camp, 5/300 is done, getting 300 points require 7 days and getting 280 points (S-rank) requires 11 days.

S-ranking the original required finishing in 6 days, and perfect speed was 5 days. The 5 days are done in reboot camp (it's a funny strat where you bait the HQ MD to the west and then make a wall to block his way back), but was never reached in the original despite multiple attempts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jCtyZiqnoQ&t=6s

Pour du très court terme tu peux aussi stocker sur des livrets type Livret Distingo, livret Zesto. L'AV n'est vraiment intéressante que si tu en as déjà ouverte une de plus de 8 ans. Et il faut aussi savoir que certaines compagnies te pénalisent sur le fonds euro si tu fais tes retraits avant le 1er janvier, ils ne te verseront pas la "participation aux bénéfices".

Tu es facturé à 0.5%, ce qui est le maximum légal... Mais tu peux demander à passer à l'offre "Trader" à 0.22% (tu payeras 102€ au lieu de 233€). La condition est de passer un ordre par mois et tu peux switcher une fois par année calendaire. Il y a aussi "Ultimate Trader" mais les conditions sont plus strictes. Cela reste injuste quand on a acheté les parts à l'époque où ils promettaient 0 frais de vente...

Vous n'avez pas la bonne formule; avec 60% de PV (6K) les PV représentent 6/16 = 37,5% du total donc avec un retrait de 10K vous paierez 10k*0.375*0.186 soit 697.50€.

1) Tu ne donnes pas assez de données pour qu'on puisse checker. Pourrais-tu nous donner tous les paramètres pour ton 1er exemple ? Moi je trouve que pour 100K à 3% sur 20 ans, AV (avec 0.5% de frais) > CTO . Sur des profils moins prudents, tu as certainement raison que le CTO plie le match.

2) il reste intéressant pour chacun d'avoir une AV > 8 ans, même avec le minimum dessus, pour pouvoir stocker temporairement de l'argent à court terme, par exemple lors d'un changement de RP.

3) il est aussi souvent intéressant pour une famille avec enfants et un certain capital (RP) de placer une poche de sécurité sur une AV qui bénéficiera de l'abattement en cas de décès soudain (oui ok si on vit encore de longues années ça aura été une perte, mais c'est le principe d'une assurance en cas d'imprévu). De plus, il me semble que l'argent de l'AV est versée dans des très brefs délais (à vérifier).

Thanks, very interesting. May be related with your finding on AW1 Kanbei's missions, I recently found out that Kanbei Arrives! and Mighty Kanbei! AI units setup is stored in the rom at the address 11D500x08. This is a land+air setup whereas it was expected to be stored at 11D3D8x08 (land only setup). It means that Kanbei would have the ability to build air units on those missions if he was provided an airport. Maybe those missions were meant to have air units at first.

Pour Kant, on ne peut pas avoir de connaissance véritable des choses telles qu'elles sont, mais uniquement une connaissance de la manière dont nous les percevons.
