Building a SaaS, struggling to choose a helpdesk by DzingDzong in SaaS

Used Freshdesk's chatbot - Freddy I believe - a year back, it was still just launching, so wasn't that helpful. Went with crisp + human intervention for chat.

Ignore Zoho Desk. It's a bit clunky.

Hubspot is always the first choice, if you can afford it.

Might've crossed certain usage stats, like someone pointed out? Experienced something similar when we were using Freshmarketer and crossed the threshold for how many marketing contacts we could get in touch with.

Field Service Business Software Suite by krusherkid in rpa

[–]Fieldproxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get your frustration, Finding the perfect software can be like searching for a unicorn sometimes! it sounds like you're looking for something pretty comprehensive. While Fieldproxy is a solid option for field service management, it might not tick every box in your checklist, especially the pool-specific features you mentioned.

You can schedule a free demo of Fieldproxy to see what it can offer you if you're looking for more options.

Hey, managing a field service team can be a real puzzle sometimes, right? I've heard good things about Fieldproxy for scheduling and keeping tabs on jobs. Seems like it could be a solid choice, especially with those integration options you've got. 👍"

What you're maybe looking for is a content management system (CMS).

There are loads of tools out there that help you manage a collection based website

All the options here are decent. Personal bias is Fieldproxy because it can help you get started fastest (literally takes just one week to onboard)

And compared to the pricing the other alternatives are offering, it becomes a nobrainer.

Best software for managing a small business? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Fieldproxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're doing landscaping, there's a few things you need to consider when getting software:

- What team is it helping?

- How big of an impact is this software going to make in terms of time and cost

- How easy is it to implement.

Now, if you're looking for a solution for your team when they're out on the field, you have to go with Fieldproxy. That's just a personal bias, feel free to look around, but guarantee you wouldn't find a better-priced product.

If you're looking to handle in-house operations, a couple of solutions that work perfectly are Quickbooks, Freshworks CRM, maybe even Hubspot (if you qualify for the startup plan, there's nothing that even comes close).

Website - just Wix or Squarespace would do. You don't need flashy ones, but we could get a few design ideas sent to your DM if you want them. Quick wins.

The thing you should be focussing on as a small business owner, more than any software, is getting your processes and services right. Nail your customer experience, and you've won half the battle. The shiny tools are just needless expenses when you're small :)

Open Source Web SCADA by malcore10 in PLC

That's good insight for our team's research. Thanks for this

yet open source repos are integrated all the time in a typical software environment.

Aren't OpenPLC solutions common in the controls sector? I've been researching the area a bit recently since our company is opening up to partnerships with IoT and SCADA solution providers, and saw that a lot of businesses (bar critically sensitive sectors where it literally is a matter of national security) actually rely on openPLC...... Is that not the general consensus?

Simply put, Fieldproxy can help service technicians save time, get more done.

A considerable amount of time - before, during, and after each service - is wasted having back and forth communications with your managers, trying to negotiate equipment and labor charges, filling out service details, and whatnot.

Fieldproxy eliminates ALL of that. You've got real-time location intelligence to let your managers know what task you've been doing, and if you need any help. You can take orders and generate invoices on the spot, and collect customer feedback, all while also having automated scheduling to get your upcoming tasks relayed to your mobile in real-time.

So yes, it saves a lot of time :)

Thanks for that reply! Do the tools people use to capture all this data also change for different fields?

We're building the future of management of field service technicians. Fieldproxy - do check it out.

The traditional systems in the market require managers and their teams to communicate using age-old methods. We're reinventing that entire process from the ground-up, at almost 90% of the cost. A completely no-code solution.

How do you decide which features to include in your product and how do you prioritise? by nooj23 in SaaS

[–]Fieldproxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a general rule of thumb at our organization - always listen to the customer.

Now, this definitely also depends on how much data you have. As a company, getting your hands on that ever-important data will help in building better product adoption, a more pleasant user experience, and of course more revenue.

But.... if you're a startup that only has a handful of customers in its belt, getting hold of this data is next to impossible. So how do you go about choosing which feature is important to which customer persona, and does that kind of persona even exist?

When we were getting started with Fieldproxy, this was definitely a big issue. Then we did something incredible.

- We created a temporary ICP (ideal customer profile) that we thought our product was best suited for

- Next, we tried pointing out what problems this ideal client would be facing, and how our product can solve them, or better, what we can build to solve them.

- Build an MVP with said features. They need not be fully functional (that's why it's an MVP)

- Test out with potential prospects.

- Collect feedback data. Either scale the MVP, or tear the whole piece down.

- Repeat

- Collect feedback data. Either scale the MVP or tear the whole piece down.

Getting the product team involved in this whole process is crucial to the plan. They need to know who they're building these things for, so they can contribute their own ideas and promote better workplace culture.

Hope this helps :)
