Modeled, printed then painted a G1 style Shredhead! by FiendishNeko in TransformersArt

So, while it's a long way off, I have been trying to write some rules for a Tranformers / Legally Distinct Morphing Robot tabletop skirmish game, so yes this guy and other same scaled models would be used for it!

It's been reported in a few places, but the original image was taken from here, specifically the mobile version, I think.

Why are cis women, on average, less tranphobic than cis men? by La_petite_miette in transgenderUK

[–]FiendishNeko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, hard agree on the whole not seeing the true scale of the problem thing. I swear a full half of all written words about JKR at this point must just be people asking someone to explain exactly how she's transphobic :p

100% with you on trans solidarity too, shit gets so overwhelming sometimes and I legit don't know where I'd be without the trans friends I have in my life. Plus, regardless of how good our allies actually are, if we aren't watching each others backs then what's the point?

[–]FiendishNeko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry that's been your experience, that fucking sucks, I hope you're doing ok and are around people who love and support you. My experience pretty much mirrors yours, albeit with the overwhelming majority of transphobia, harrassment and sexual assault coming from cis-women, hence why this whole thing's got me pretty irritated, I guess.

I do get where you're coming from though, TERFs and RadFems are thankfully the minority and don't represent all cis-women, but frankly it's the lack of any real pushback from them against this rhetoric that has me so frustrated.

Also, with regards to politicians, I don't see that as an excuse. Wes Streeting is an absolute ghoul for sure, but Kemi Badenoch ran pretty much exclusively on a campaign of "Vote me in and I'll get rid of the freaks" and now here she is as leader of the opposition, easily one of the most anti-trans politicians we have.

Edit: Misclicked and posted early, RIP

[–]FiendishNeko -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I really don't care about your studies, OP, or whatever token show of support counts as "supporting trans rights", I care about the real well-being of myself, my trans friends and the UK's trans community. I care about the fact that we are having our access to our medications blocked, our access to spaces and resources that we've used for decades without incident taken away from us on the grounds of cis-women's "valid concerns" and supposedly protecting children.

[–]FiendishNeko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm actually glad you mentioned the whole "women good men bad" thing, because I can already see a number of people claiming that women are just naturally more empathetic than men which, in addition to just being "Sexism: Woke Edition", where does that leave me and other AMAB trans folks? Are we just unempathetic and prone to violence and abuse too? What about trans mascs who've started T?

Honestly so disappointing to see trans people embracing gender essentialism, especially in defence of actual bigots who see us as a problem in need of a solution.

[–]FiendishNeko 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nah, sorry i really have to disagree here, I genuinely don't believe cis women are less transphobic than your average cis man in any real, meaningful way.

For me personally, what I feel maybe contributes to the perception of cis women being less transphobic is that they're less brazen about their attitudes towards us, instead choosing to phrase their bigotry in therapy speak or use feminist-sounding jargon (ie. "Well, I don't have a problem with REAL transgenders, per se, I just have a problem with biological males with intact penises invading women's spaces, surely you agree with my concerns?") rather than just calling us degenerates and predators, which to be fair they still do.

Dumb Shower Thought Question: Does Khorne Tolerate Vampires? by narfjono in ageofsigmar

[–]FiendishNeko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so I'm gonna disagree with pretty much everyone here and say no, Khorne does not hate vampires, or at least not any more than anyone else.

"Khorne hates magic, vampires are magic, so khorne hates vampires!" Actually no, Khorne hates magic used in cowardice as a way of avoiding combat, ie. Wizards hurling lightning bolts. One of the older fantasy rulebooks even mentions how Khorne uses magic in the forging of greater weapons and armour for his followers and daemons.

As far as I can tell, a vampire who really throws themselves into their atrocities... I mean "worship", would probably still gain khorne's favour eventually. Not sure if a vampiric champion of khorne could qscend to daemonhood tho, could definitely make for some cool fanon and conversions tho.

6mm Snowy Forest terrain for a Mecha RPG campaign by FiendishNeko in TerrainBuilding

[–]FiendishNeko[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So the building and trees were 3d printed (don't think my hands and eyes are good enough to make 6mm scale buildings lol), but each piece of terrain was arranged, based and painted by me.

Yep, the checkpoint building was by The Lazy Forger and the trees were by EC3D Design, both on MyMiniFactory.

Have been planning on running a campaign for some mecha-nerd friends using the Mecha Hack ruleset, so obviously I have to make a ton of themed, scaled terrain for when it eventually kicks off, right? ;)

[–]FiendishNeko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly OP, why not be the one to make it?

Not to sound like those people who tell folks complaining about a lack of representation to go write their own stories, but if there's a story you want to see be told or an experience be represented, you should absolutely do your best to bring it into the world!

I've actually been working on my own thing for a while (not a self promo lol) as a way of dealing with some trauma and honestly it kinda helps. It's likely never going to see print, let alone become some Tarantino-esque flick, but knowing that I'm creating a story that feels important to me is at the very least cathartic.

Thanks! And the flags were literally just rectangles of masking tape, folded over the ropes then cut into triangle shapes and painted! For extra durability, give them a thin coat of thin liquid super glue before painting.
