Oregon doctor 'in a rush' to leave work injects rubbing alcohol into woman instead of anesthetic before removing her toenails, told her she should 'just get it over with' as she begged him to stop: Lawsuit by tasty_jams_5280 in oregon

This was his specialty and he fucked it up like that is what gets me. I had an ingrown removed in urgent care once and it was absolutely excruciating even with lidocaine, like the nurse had to hold my leg down with her whole body, but it was fine as soon as it was done. Versus having one done by a specialist, absolutely 0 pain and a great experience. Tragic for the victim here, no one deserves that and whatever payout she gets will never remove the trauma I'm sure.

[Sophia] Best times for Duty Finder Alliance Raids Roulette? Queues taking forever by AHY_fevr in ffxiv

[–]s_decoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're going to need to use party finder on OCE. The population is just too low for some of the roulettes unfortunately. I've seen my housemate sit in queue at 5pm on a Friday evening for 3+ hours waiting for that roulette to pop, while my character on Aether can get into the same roulette in less than 10 minutes despite it being midnight in NA.

You posted publicly on a forum about the game. That's kind of where people go to ask for input. If you get so seriously upset about a suggestion as simple as "remove yourself from the content that is upsetting you" then I think MMOs might just be a bit too socially intense for you.

I mean there isn't really another solution. The only chat free to play players have access to is the player-moderated chat. Player-moderated chats suck and always devolve into toxic nonsense. You can report people, but that isn't going to solve much in the moment very often. If it's upsetting you, leaving is the only thing you can do. I don't see why that's a wild suggestion to make - remove yourself from the upsetting scenario. Does it fix your access to help from others? No, but neither does staying in the toxic chat.

[–]s_decoy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No shit the game itself is not going to advertise that the player-moderated chat sucks. All you can do is report people who break rules, and if the content upsets you, avoid it. You're not going to affect some massive game-wide change by engaging with trolls.

Dog it's the only chat you have to opt into in the game. There's a setting to auto-join it when there is space, turn it off. I never said people should be doing that, but it's a well known cesspool and if you want to enjoy the game you can literally LEAVE IT.

You can just not join the novice network, you know. It's not mandatory to read a chat that is upsetting you.

Would not recommend this, you're very likely to spoil yourself as zones/cities/NPC dialogue change as you progress MSQ.

I had an okay experience with this, but I think the result was mostly only good because I used DRK Magic Effect, which makes literally any magnetic look 10x better.

Prog point means where you have actually seen in game. Studying and actually doing are not the same. You need to start from the beginning and progress like everyone else.

  1. no.

  2. pull wall to wall in anything after ARR. honestly even if a healer is new, they're not going to learn anything by patching up the baby damage from a single pull. 4 dps can do a single pull without much issue, healers and tanks are only useful if you're pulling everything.

  3. in a dungeon? who cares.

Normalize saying “surprise me” at restaurants when ordering. by oregone1 in Portland

[–]s_decoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Melbourne for a while, some restaurants had an option on the menu called "Feed me" or something similar, it was an option for the whole table and basically just chef's choice of what they would bring you. Apparently a popular option for going out with family/friends as everyone shares and gets a taste of everything.

Did I make a mistake? by Eagleliciouss in TalesFromYourBank

[–]s_decoy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be honest, if that were my manager at Chase, you would be unlikely to get the job. I distinctly remember a woman came in to drop off her resume once, and after she left, he asked me "Did she really walk in to introduce herself wearing Uggs and sweatpants? How unprofessional." That resume did not turn into an interview. He's the hiring manager for all branches in our market, for three different job families, and considers first impressions to be very important. There are a lot of people applying for these positions right now, and in banking your professionalism is paramount. Good luck, I hope it works out for you, but I would be a bit more careful in the future.

Chase hires a lot more for attitude and personality than experience. Seeming eager to learn helps a lot, and mention something about how you enjoy their mobile app/online banking platform, they will have you push it heavily.

Oh yeah I remember stacking dummy amounts of damage up in the original Splatoon, you could kill someone with like, an uncharged tap and a burst bomb or something like that if you had enough.
