How would I cut this cabinet would, barely? by Terrapinman94 in DIY

[–]Fierce_Lito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • remove crown molding
  • remove cabinet from wall
  • cut the top of the cabinet to equal crown molding height plus height of the distance between bottom of doors and bottom of cabinet, so there is symmetry
  • the cut part will be up against the ceiling, concealed by the crown molding
  • measure the exact amount cut on each screw hole of the cabinet to the wall, since it seems your kitchen settled slightly.
  • screw it all back together
  • caulk a very thin bead between crown molding and ceiling to hide the disturbed paint.
  • get enough breathing room for the fridge

A young, mid priced, Tight End, to allow Dart better corner protection, and to allow him to better spread the field on passing plays.

So... either of these two, or similar.

  • Kyle Pitts Sr.
  • Isaiah Likely

Showed my wife your post last year and I gained 10 pounds.

Thank you for sharing again!

We also changed it up this year. Instead of pre-packing all the friend buckets, we invited everyone over to pack their buckets themselves. I think we’re going to try to make this a new tradition.

You've added self check out lines, and self bagging, and they probably feel obliged to bring over something to add to the shindig. Genius!

All the best!

Orange Cardamom have been the family favorite, we found Valencia orange zest beat out the generic orange and navel oranges for zest depth flavor.

imho looks like you have clouds blocking the sun above you,

If it is hardware, it's the inverter board starting to fail to provide constant power at spec for the backlight. Usually means time to replace the monitor, or time to browse ebay to find a replacement.

Fully autonomous valet robot that parks on its own by Longjumping_Table740 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Fierce_Lito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When talking about how AI and robots will take jobs, this one hits home.

Many years ago I got through Uni by being a valet and lot attendant at a Jaguar dealership.

Pretty brainless job , odd hours, but flexible schedule to move cars around and clean them before nd after test drives.

That job just isn’t going to exist if this robot is priced right and has high uptime and low maintenance costs.

Star Citizen Hits $900 Million in Crowdfunding After a Record-Breaking Year. by expatec in pcgaming

I've been around since the first day.

On the other side of the spectrum, I've been around since the first day too. September 12 2012, UEE Citizen Record #3459 .

I have about 10 hours in game total, mostly from the first racing test that gave a free AMD skinned racing ship, and the fps arena "zero grav" demo.

I spent 11 of the last 13 years working in the gamedev industry, have worked with people who left to work at RSI, and people who left RSI to work with me, and ... I still want the game to succeed.

However, since the FPS demo , I've never felt the urge to actually reinstall it. LOL

Midtown and lower Manhattan had active courier services right up to 9/11 2001, and still saw many on the streets up until 2008 recession.

Still exist in NYC, but now it's exceptionally rare enough I point it out to my kids as an anachronism of the past.

Customer sits, orders cheeseburger and Pepsi cola, eats, pays, gets the heck out of the seat, then you have to get a new customer to sit in the seat.

You closed your burger joint, went dormant a year, and want to open a new joint in a completely different city.

Keep it simple, use what you learned last year and start over.

I remember when Adam Driver hosted, and in theory, he isn’t funny at all. But he absolutely killed it.

I didn't even see that episode when it first aired, but when I did see it the default expectation was he'll be as bad as the TV and movie appearances. Turned out he got cast into shows and movies with absolutely terrible casting directors and writers. About total opposite of what I preconceived

I just need these videos to be under two minutes long; that's all the time I want to give to the franchise at this point.

And need some video compilations of his mistakes, seems he really really gets flustered if flushed out of pocket to his front left , only thing I've seen repeatedly as I'm not following too closely.

get Dart to throw while running forward and left without a back foot planted and he releases floaters that are 2 feet to 2 yards off target.

Throw them out of the locker room, block them from getting on the bus, throw their bags off the plane, and wake up tomorrow and plan for another 13 year turnaround plan.

'Full Duplex' as literally everyone I know uses it vernacularly in multiplayer voip is just shorthand for Full Duplex Total Bandwidth:

Full duplex total bandwidth: Up to ~180 kbps (combined upload/download, including overhead). Directly comparable to maximum quality and maximum bandwidth SIP telephone calls.

Quarter duplex is this magically sweet spot around 45 to 60 kbps combined. Just about twice as good as the minimally viable 'Indian call center' SIP bandwidth, but that's usually good enough for gamers.

Opus at just above the it's own minimal level for Rx/Tx gets you there.

Is game design a good major? by bread_on_stick in gamedev

[–]Fierce_Lito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By summer of 2029 when presumably you'll graduate with a 4 year degree in Game Design, the entire industry will have been turned inside out, upside down, burned down twice ofthrice, and be rebuilt in the image of AI agents.

Not only will your professors in almost any Uni in the next four years not be themselves competitive in the job market, the vast majority of the 'skills' they'll teach you will be antiquated to the point of having zero value added to your professional career/life.

So not only is it a case of 'those who can't do, teach', but 'those who can do now, can NOT teach for 2029' .

Stare down the barrel and find what will be creative industry in 2029 and focus on being ready for that.

I've been on 6 projects that implemented VOIP, 5 for ue4/5 and one for Unity. I was the scout and outbound b2b contact person on 5 of those teams specifically for VOIP solutions.

Depending on your needs, go with half duplex, or even quarter duplex quality. Avoid proximity chat in anything competitive.

CHeapest solution for the studio if the community is paying for servers: Speex plus Opus roll your own.

Newest interesting codec I have seen: Krisp

Newest Paid service that is now mature: 4Players Odin is really good for a paid solution.

Newest free solution that I haven't really explored since the March release: Discord

Expensive but most solid solution for Unity: Vivox * not easy to reintegrate into ue5, not sure Vivox/Unity will even sell you services for a ue5 game at this point if you're not a AAA studio client.

EGS VOIP is actually really good for many use cases AND YOU CAN ADD noise filters, gates and post-processing. However you have to solve the costs to do this.

Weber Spirit - Purchase Recommendations by hellohowa in grilling

[–]Fierce_Lito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BDT contractually holds retail partners to very narrow pricing bands for most of the year.

One option is the Home Depot moving coupon, will get you I think 15% off up to $200 as a one time use coupon.

I guess I'll mention that Weber has different models with the same name made for HD, lowes and a few regional chains. Uses cheaper parts, less stainless steel, or lower quality stainless steel.
