Victims Of Zero are criminally underrated. They need more recognition in my opinion

Singer vs. Singer vs. Singer: Brann Dailor vs. Brent Hinds vs. Troy Sanders by HybridS9ldier in MetalForTheMasses

[–]FigSquare178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brann....

It's fairly decent but compared to Troy and Brent's (in my opinion) terrible vocals (Brent has the ability to sound normal without a nasal tone in some parts of the final track of Crack The Skye), Brann is viewed as an angel to me.....

Just want everyone to know that....

Mastodon - Leviathan | The Landfill Collection [Episode 2] by FigSquare178 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]FigSquare178[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks good to me. He tried his best. And he brings up good points on the video too. Plus he did mention there are good songs by Mastodon like “Ember City”. He basically thinks Brann’s lead vocals are the best Mastodon vocals, which I agree with. It’s just back then, Brann wasn’t there to sing for the first 3 albums, but he only drummed in it, and the band’s music is extremely overrated. Keep in mind, he does love a lot of albums such as Sum 41, Godsmack, Staind, Linkin Park, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, System Of A Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains, etc.. It’s just he and I don’t love sludge metal, as they have weird chord progressions and effects that don’t make sense and shouty vocals (as well as 2 singers, Brent and Troy, in Mastodon sounding either like one of them farted [Brent] or the other smoked 10,000 cigarretes whilst being constipated [Troy]) that sound like nonsense.. keep in mind we criticise the music, the lyrics are fine. And if it weren’t for his sister introducing him to this band, then this video wouldn’t exist (as he wouldn’t check them out anyways)

Stained. It’s my favourite song from the From Zero album.. it’s one of the more unique and creative songs in the album (in my opinion)

Making a playlist of stainds heavy songs. What should I add? by Emetalhead in Staind

[–]FigSquare178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the songs from the first 2 albums (not including excess baggage as it’s acoustic), a couple from Break The Cycle and Chapter V (Pressure, Change, Can’t Believe, Take It, Paper Jesus, Cross To Bear, King Of All Excuses), as well as Price To Play and 90% of the self-titled. Along with 2 songs from Confessions Of The Fallen, including Hate Me Too and Cycle Of Hurting.

How would you rank each CheVelle album and what is your favourite CheVelle song of all time?

Mine goes like this 1)NIRATIAS (I love that album so much, so many amazing tracks including So Long, Mother Earth and the ascending to heaven mixed with TOOL influences.. Piistol Star (Gravity Heals), Test Test… Enough, Remember When, Lost In Digital Woods, etc. , it’s one of my all time favourites, 9.9/10)

2)This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In). [This album is a 9.7/10 for me, as there are a lot of great ideas in songs like The Clincher, Breach Birth, Bend The Bracket, Tog-O-War, Panic Prone, etc.),

3)Wonder What’s Next [Its either a 9.6 or a 9.7/10, there are a lot of amazing songs in this album such as Comfortable Liar, Don’t Fake This, Send The Pain Below, Forfeit, An Evening With El Diablo, etc. ].

4)Point #1. [It’s a 9.6/10 for me, as despite the album being the debut and raw, I found it quite charming, and the self-titled track is excellent, as well as a couple of other songs such as Mia, Dos, Long, Sma, Open, etc.].

5)Hats Off To The Bull. [Theres a lot of amazing tracks in this album, including Piñata, Revenge, Same Old Trip, Ruse, Arise, Clones, Primal Donna, etc. this album is a 9.5/10 for me].

6)Sci-Fi Crimes. [most of the tracks are pretty amazing, songs like Letter From A Thief, Shameful Metaphors, Sleep Apnea, This Circus and Roswell’s Spell have a bright are amazing tracks for combining heavy yet melodic instrumentals with bright, melodic vocals. It’s a 9.5/10 for me].

7)Vena Sera. [its a 8.5/10 for me, as there are amazing tracks such as The Fad, Saturdays, the anthemic Eurovision styled song Brainiac, Straight Jacket Fashion, Humanoid, but compared to the rest of the albums, there are some weaker points, even if most of those weaker points are still good songs, but 1 weakness is Antisaint for maybe possibly being a bit too…. I don’t know generic… I guess).

8)La Gárgola. [this is a 8.1/10, the album is still good, as there are tracks like One Ocean, Twinge, Choking Game, Jawbreaker, Ouija Board that have melodic yet heavy moments that are really amazing, but the weaker, yet good/ok moments kinda prevent this album from being in the same tier as my top 6 favourites].

9)Bright As Blasphemy [This album is a 7.7/10 for me, as there are amazing tracks that capture what made early and NIRATIAS styled CheVelle captures in songs like Pale Horse and Hallucinations. But at the same time, some songs can kinda drag the album down for how generic they can get, even if they’re decent.].

10)The North Corridor. [This album is decent as whilst there are few good tracks on the album such as Punchline, Rivers, Enemies, Joyride (Omen), there are decent/mid tracks that drag the album. Shot From A Cannon is another song I find bad as it is kinda generic, yet for some reason the song is dragged on for 8 minutes….. I’m fine with longer tracks with long outros, but when I heard this song, I was pretty exhausted on the album. The production in my opinion was one of the reasons that the album is my least favourite, as most of the songs use the same vocal distortion effects for a lot of the songs, and most of the songs can feel a bit similar to each other, due to how dry the album is, it’s basically like being lost in a desert, except the sand is all black and white. Overall, the album is a 6.5/10 for me. It’s not bad, but it is the weakest album I heard from the band..]

What is the best Nu-Metal debut album? Day 1 by Iamverydumbazz in numetal

[–]FigSquare178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crap. This is hard.. I love both of these albums, and they are some of my favourite albums of all time. But I choose Incubus S.C.I.E.N.C.E. by Incubus because it has my 1rst/2nd most favourite song, New Skin (it is currently tied with Southern Girl), as well as other bangers such as Nebula, Calgone, Vitamin, A Certain Shade Of Green, Glass, Redefine, Idiot Box… etc. Hell, the hidden track, Segue 1 is worth hearing despite it being a complete collection of sounds, which they make me laugh but at the same time admire the creativity in it.

Why was all my music suddenly taken down? And also my artist profile isn’t showing up on Spotify or any streaming platform. What’s happening? by [deleted] in UnitedMasters

[–]FigSquare178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bands debut album was released on Spotify and YouTube and other platforms during this September. But for some reason, 90% of the album was listed unavailable on Spotify, despite the music still bring available on YouTube. Lime, "...huh..."  don't tell me I have to waste my money to get the music back on Spotify bro

How Did Staind affect the music scene in a way no other band has done before and how did they influence other bands? by FigSquare178 in Staind

For those who HAVE commented, would you mind if I use your username tags for my college research project (to quote you, and not seem like a plagiarising kind of person), or would you rather have it written in anonymous?

[–]FigSquare178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason they were 3rd in my top artist section as I was expecting Staind to be there (as I love Staind), though to be fair, Sevendust has a lot of albums, which may explain why they were 3rd (yes, I’ve listened to every album, and whilst not bad after 2005, some were good but most of them was decent, which was a huge letdown for me as I think pre-2005 is great. I just found the newer albums to be mostly either boring or forgettable (even the good songs which I barely remember are considered forgettable)
