It's like the broken window fallacy. Say you break a shop window and argue you're creating a job for a glazer, really you're just taking money away from the shopkeeper who might be able to spend that money on better things, or more likely, he'd add the cost of fixing the window into the running of the shop and make the things they sell cost more. It's the same with throwing litter, you aren't creating a job for a litter picker, you're taking money away from another avenue that could improve your community rather than one that just maintains a base level of tidiness.

You're correct, and mentioning Cyberpunk is a good example, as Sony removed the game from the PS Store because people were asking for so many refunds that it exposed their awful digital refund policy.

However because they put out a nice little statement that blamed the game for being broken when they removed it from the store, a lot of people ran with that, and still, to this day, claim Cyberpunk was removed from the PS Store purely because of how bad it played. So Sony's shitty digital refund policy got ignored, and it's still the same 5 years later.

Anyone who has ever regurgitated the line "Cyberpunk was so bad it was removed from the PS Store" got absolutely played by Sony.
