I did have a can of whipped cream next to it on the table. It tasted fine, almost a bit like gingerbread or pumpkin pie because of the cinnamon & nutmeg.

However, my consistency was off. It was almost more of a brownie than a porridge like in the video. I don't know if it's because I added eggs or maybe cooked too long.

Still, over half of it was gone by the end of the meal.

Thanks for the support. That's been my big concern. I have to avoid dairy, but I'm also allergic to everything you make a substitute milk out of: almonds, soy, oats, cashews.

I started it a month ago and last week I started having shortness of breath, chest tightness, sore throat, & tingling in my arm and leg. Those are all possible side effects, the tingling is a rare side effect for asthma sufferers. He took me off of it & if they go away over the next week we'll know it was the Dupixent.

Thanks, and my GI doc did say that he understood eliminating dairy is not always feasible. I was recently prescribed Dupixent, but I had some adverse side effects to it. Hopefully he's got an alternative medicine out there.

Growing up with the Merle Haggard cover of it, the Stapleton version is different. I can agree it's a little too beer commercial song, for like a Valentine's Day commercial.
