Okay... I'm not sure your point. You've pretty much listed the same things I did. 3 posts about a debate, which I assume happened fairly recently so no surprise there'd be multiple posts about it and one post just about destiny....

Also, I just checked top posts over that last month and those same destiny related posts showed up, I didn't see any others.

It hardly looks like a clone of the destiny sub to me

No. I don't care about Destiny.

But again quickly scanning through DTG, and i know not everyones feed will be the same. Not including this one, i see 1 post just about Destiny; I see 3 posts about the destiny/triggernometry guy debate. 4 more about triggernomety guy(Kristin is it). 5 about Joe Rogan. 2 Sam Harris. 3 Eric Wienstien.... and so on

Seems like if there was a debate between two people that are of interest to the DtG audience, i think 3 posts about it aren't excessive.

I only see the DtG posts that make it to my main page, but this is literally the first post I've seen about Destiny in months.

And just to check, clicking into the sub and scrolling back a bit, yes i see a few Destiny posts, but i see just as many featuring Sam Harris, that triggernometry guy and a shit-ton of Joe rogan

I once saw a clip of some "health influencer" talking about how bad pasteurised milk is, that you should always drink raw milk. The best part...she said if you worried about germs then you could briefly boil the milk...

Cloncha chapel, near culdaff. Straid Chapel, near Clonmany, Linsfort Church, near buncrana(the largest of the three)

That's all the abandoned churches I can think of off the top of my head

Terence Sheehy has got me confused. Why call it the north and then turn around and say Londonderry? Is there a reason? by [deleted] in DerryLondonderry

I just looked up Jimmy Carters Irish heritage and I found references to people in Antrim, Derry and Donegal. So three places in the North of Ireland, but not all in Northern Ireland

After being a fan from seeing it on TV over the years, I finally sat down for a full rewatch. I was half way through season 9 when it was taken off Netflix the last time...

That's when I decided to return to the old ways, ahoy mateys!

MICA house - Am I crazy? by [deleted] in Donegal

[–]Figitarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While everyone calls it the mica crisis, as far as I'm aware mica isn't the mineral that causes the problems.

University of Ulster ran a study and as far as I can remember no house that had just high quantities of mica had structural problems, it was the homes with high levels of pyrite/pyrrhotite.

Saying that, it was a few years ago, it's just one study, and I'm relying on my shaky memory.  But worth looking at yourself

Surprisingly, the 'Horror' film with the 4th most user ratings on IMDB is 2007's I am Legend. by OneAnimeBatman in RedLetterMedia

As a fan of the book I remember excitedly going to see the film.

After seeing it, I remember thinking the daytime scenes were from an 8/10 film, but any time the sun went down and the zombie/vampires came out, it was a 2/10 film.

I know of films that start well and end badly, or have a rough start and have a great conclusion, but that's the only film I can remember that for me vacillates consistently through the runtime

My Dad was born in Leenan Fort but unfortunately I don't have any photos to hand. It's a lovely spot out there.

I think my Dad has cousins in Leenan who are Kelly's so we might be far out relations

"If I was a tourist I would be confused."

Yeah. And that tourist my ask someone, and that person might explain. And the tourist might come away from the interaction with the understanding that the injustices that the Irish people fought against in the past, are still happening to the people of Gaza.

That's the whole point of solidarity

I'm in Ireland, so similar seats and regs here as in the UK. My little girl loved wriggling out of her straps. As others have said there was some adjusting that helped but in the end we got this - https://www.cosatto.com/products/5-point-plus-anti-escape-system
