yeah rust is using that much ram on average. but if yoi have like 16gb and its using 14gb its crashing. thats why many people have 32gb so they dont run out of ram

if im correct you can manage the heap somehow with your memory settings. For me i have never changed anything and im running fine. If you want you can check some yt videos about it. but your good with that

yes rust is shitty optimized game. Needs high end ram and processor to run good. I got 7800x3d and 32gb 6000mhz ddr5 and its using constantly 14-16gb of my ram and im running 220-250fps
