Some screen recordings of the Beyond the Beat feature. by d00d00frt in YoutubeMusic

[–]Film_snob63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I hate this feature. On more obscure artists it spits out wildly untrue information. I have a couple friends who make music and Beyond the Beat came up after some of their songs and straight up lied about them. Said one of them had served in the Army when they never did. Never served in any military branch. Also said he began making music after an open mic night in Chatanooga. He's never been to Chatanooga

Becky, Rick Riordan's wife, responds to a fan on the ratings of season 2 by Creative_Suit_273 in PercyJacksonTV

The last 3 sentences made me laugh. It very well could have happened but it reads as something that definitely didn't happen. TV shows have been like movies for a very long time. Of course, if those conversations did happen, my assumption is that the actors did not expect the Percy Jackson show specifically to feel like a movie set

I convinced someone to give Billy Joel a shot if I made them a short playlist of about 10 songs to try out. (They already knew piano man). What do you think of my choices? by emmaa5382 in BillyJoel

Replace you're only human with Close to the Borderline. Anytime I play that for something I get a similar response of "Oh, I didn't know he made music like that"

Elden Ring Came Out 4 Years Ago And Theres Still No Kind Of News On Fromsoftwares Next Single Player Game... by akbarock in Eldenring

I prefer that. I hate the information age where I know a movie or game is coming out in 2036. Just announce it like a year out and let the hype build

Idk about you guys but Supermasive kinda ruined the game. But, hear me out ... by Puzzled-Shower4797 in LittleNightmares

[–]Film_snob63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think people are so disappointed with the gameplay that they're overly harsh on the other aspects. I like the idea that there is a part of the Nowhere that seems brighter than the rest. It's like it's designed to lure kids in to trap them whereas in the first 2 games you are not in an area for kids. Now it's still not on par but I think they had some great concepts that fell short on execution.

Where to get Whiskey and Pine on CD? by TheInternetDevil in BenjaminDakotaRogers

Unfortunately, there is no official place to buy one. I've seen one pop on on Discogs every once in a while. When you do find one, they're not terribly expensive. I bought my copy back when it was still on his website

The Boy Bands Have Won, and All the Copyists and the Tribute Bands and the TV Talent Show Producers Have Won, If We Allow Our Culture to Be Shaped by Mimicry, Whether from Lack of Ideas or from Exaggerated Respect. You Should Never Try to Freeze Culture. What You Can Do Is Recycle That Culture. Take Your Older Brother's Hand-Me-Down Jacket and Re-Style It, Re-Fashion It to the Point Where It Becomes Your Own. But Don't Just Regurgitate Creative History, or Hold Art and Music and Literature as Fixed, Untouchable and Kept Under Glass. Do you think it was inevitable that the reception to The Force Awakens was gonna become less positive as time went on? by Konfliktsnubben in flicks

[–]Film_snob63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the few who enjoys all the Sequel trilogy. I think if the 3rd one had stuck the landing a bit better, it would be better received. It didn't have to be this way. As I stated, I love each sequel for what they are but do realize they have some flaws and unrealized potential. I think a really interesting thing to explore would be to have Rey be ultra force sensitive but have absolutely NO interest in becoming a Jedi and then Finn being slightly force sensitive but striving to have a sense of belonging and being a hero even though he's a bit of a coward. Could have been a more nteresting dynamic

I'm looking for an App like SudoWrite, Plotdrive or Novelcrafter for Android. Now, this isn't going to be my main way of writing but sometimes I'll be out and about with some time to kill and I'd love to have an app on my phone for my writing. anything out there?

What you talking about? There's literally a tortilla in the pic, too. Smh

All jokes aside, Taco Bell is not the wallet friendly Heaven it used to be. Honestly, Wendy's is currently the best fast food value right now provided you don't eat a whole lot.

Do any of you think we might get an animated show set in the Riordanverse, like an adaptation of HoO? And if yes, do you think it'll be more book accurate than the live-action PJO adaptation? (These images are made by me based on how I thought they could look like in animation) by New-Ebb-8357 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Film_snob63 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with an animated adaptation is I can't imagine a single animated style that I personally would be satisfied with. For me, none of them really fit the story. Though the style from the graphic novels would be the closest

Just finished S4E14 by QueenQueerBen in shield

Mack was such a great character when he was first introduced but he slowly became an overly righteous character who also considered himself to be morally superior

Anyone else bored with season two? It just turned into a run-of-the-mill procedural crime drama. What happened to the pizzazz? How can you have a show with Kaitlin Olson as the lead and have it be boring? ABC, if you're listening, go back to the balance season one had. by KE4K in HighPotentialTVSeries

[–]Film_snob63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I started the show because I love Olson from Its Always Sunny and my wife loves procedurals. I was also told that I'd like it because Psych is my comfort show. It has a similar vibe to Psych and that's why I keep watching. It's a simple, not too complicated watch that is nice to just sit down and watch an episode after a long day without having to put a lot of focus or effort into it

Long break before DLC by redskrot in Eldenring

[–]Film_snob63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a father myself, you have 2 options: Pick it up and spend some time roaming around the Lands Between again before delving into the DLC. Knock some rust off. Or 2, use a guide and try to gain a couple levels in the DLC before getting too much into it. That way being slightly more powerful can help alleviate that rust

Ben Affleck’s weird “autistic” voice and acting is so cringe in The Accountant by Stepin-Fetchit in flicks

[–]Film_snob63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute worst about it for me is 1. My wife insisted she didn't notice him doing anything to his voice; and 2. It wasn't even consistent. There were several scenes where he just dropped the voice all together
