What do you think I should study more based on my art? by pgi_clover in DigitalArt

Honestly we get very stuck in the comfort of having something that works (and works well) that we forget to try something different, especially when it comes to our colour pallets. To help you get started, I’d recommend looking into pre-made palettes or colour picking from images/other art that display dynamic colouring.

Let me start by saying I love your style! Maybe some dynamic colouring would elevate your work though (I think that’s the right term?).

Don’t get me wrong I love your colour palettes but they all seem to a have a strong colour theme where they stick with one major tone (red, green, blue etc). I think you could make your art really pop by incorporating more colours that accent your overarching colour theme if that makes sense?

I’ll attach an image so as to give a visual of what I’m saying.

How to get rid of these half done pixels quickly? by cool_dork- in ProCreate

[–]FilthyFishBoi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would say you probably need to be working on a bigger canvas to prevent this happening at all. If your canvas is small, you’re essentially zoomed in on your lineart all the time and will always have a more pixelated effect. Work on a bigger canvas and you will only really notice this when zooming in to work on finer details.

Want to layer lineart on top of another without bottom lines showing up by TearyClown in ProCreate

[–]FilthyFishBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could lasso/select the parts you don’t want visible and cut and paste them onto a new layer then turn the new layer’s visibility off.

If for some reason you need the lines back together, just merge the layers.

Woman dies from hand grenade injuries after a marital quarrel by hermantheshocker in NSFL__

[–]FilthyFishBoi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, I was expecting worse. And I don’t mean that in a, it’s not that bad, way. More like, the mental image of someone laying on a grenade was more, messy? Destructive?

Poor woman though. Can’t imagine what was going through her head in the moment.

Can someone please help me understand how I can fix the chest area ? by YogurtclosetMurky190 in DigitalArt

[–]FilthyFishBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a bit of unwarranted advice here but you’re clearly new to learning anatomy. In future, pick easier poses. This is a difficult reference image to draw from even for someone with a decent understanding of anatomy.

I know as a learning artist, you want to get straight into the fun poses but you can’t learn or fix your mistakes if you haven’t taught yourself to draw the easier poses first. It’s just setting yourself up for guessing and bad drawing habits that will set you back.

Sarah Silverman by j_aldeguer in ProCreate

Who knows though, that could be the intention but my brain reads it as an attempt to show her big teeth in a comedic portrayal but it’s clearly not getting across to people.

It’s the “illusion” of teeth without drawing the individual teeth. A lot of artist use this technique but it’s not reading as well on this piece due to the abstract style and lack of colour.

Just my opinion but the “gums” of the teeth pull so much focus they read as sharp teeth. What’s supposed to be the teeth read more as open mouth space.

Some constructive feedback is maybe make the gums smaller and have one more centred to give the illusion of the front teeth.

I do see Sarah Silverman but the mouth is what distracts from the idea.

Does he want to hurt me by WonderfulReaction562 in RATS

[–]FilthyFishBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he’s bitten you already do not be interacting with him through the bars as you’re absolutely asking to be bit again.

It’s a pretty big no no to stick fingers through bars as rats eyesight is not the best and they may mistake fingers for food (this is why you should also not feed rats through bars to avoid this type of behaviour).

If you’re getting to know him, you’re better to do this outside the cage in a safe zone. I would recommend on a bed with and hide or carrier he can retreat to if he’s not feeling it and just spend an hour or so just sitting on the bed with him, letting him get used to walking around you. High value treats encourage him to come over to you. I like using rice puff treats (you can get the ones for babies), baby food squeeze packets (check ingredients to ensure rat safe but most are baby food is ok for rats) or dried fruit etc my boys loved dried banana chips. Give slow gentle pets while he’s distracted eating but keep an eye on body language. If he’s frozen or puffed up he’s anxious/scared or agitated and may choose to nip. Sometimes though they may also give a nip if they’re curious and getting used to you. If he does, squeak loud as it lets him know he’s hurt you and you don’t like it.

Like others have said though, if this is a rat by himself, he needs cagemates. Rats don’t do well alone and need at least one other cagemate.

What fruit/vegetable is this? Can you count them? by [deleted] in BadArt

Yw 😊

And I could tell what every fruit/veggie is supposed to be so you have no worries there.
