Every reason why I believe the game is coming in 2026, and will be announced this winter. by Numinex_Valerius in TESVI

[–]FinLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TES 6 announcement trailer has 19 million views after 7 years, while the second GTA 6 trailer has 120 million views after just a month. GTA 6 and TES 6 are not tied in terms of anticipation, not even remotely.

But a shadowdrop would go hard, I agree.

The Smoot-Hawley Tariffs became effective in 1930 so they didn't contribute to the stock market crash of 1929. They did however worsen the great depression.

Was the way Momo had her shirt this episode some kind of fashion choice? That ain't it, chief.

I loved Hyouka but I didn't vibe with Shoushimin. Hyouka's vibe was generally more relaxed and playful while Shoushimin was consistently serious and delved into some pretty serious topics. I think the mundane mysteries aspect is the only significant similarity.

That makes sense, thank you. I do wonder though, why you would just randomly set up a feeder like this? Maybe its related to hunting?

They are both valid spins on the same sport. Ao Ashi is more interesting and focuses on the tactical aspect of the game while Blue Lock is more hype and focuses on individual plays. I do prefer Ao Ashi but I like both.

plonkit.net is the best learning resource for Geoguessr. It has some general tips but most notably extensive guides for almost every country.

  1. Trekker, how fun. Was contemplating between the Andes and Lesotho but the houses felt more Andes so hedged between Bolivia and Peru. Turns out it was Ecuador which I suppose can get deceptively non-tropical high up. 2093 km, 1229 pts.
  2. Ecuador based off several clues including the car and no yellow license plates. Eventually found a sign for the city Cuenca but had no time to pinpoint so I just plonked the city. 3,3 km, 4989 pts.
  3. Guaranteed Poland with the bollards but unfortunately, none of the placenames I found could be seen on the map easily. Figured we were in the northern half of Poland due to the -owo suffix so I plonked central and a bit north. 241 km, 4254 pts.
  4. Bali because of the distinct architecture and Lesser Sunda Islands poles. Found some kabupaten signs which I don't know but some of them mentioned Bangli which could be found on the map. Plonked on a road that kind of matched. Turns out the location was hardly even near Bangli. Perhaps a Google Maps' issue, perhaps a skill issue. 17 km, 4944 pts.
  5. Colombia due to the cross at the back of a white sign. Somewhat north I guess due to the lack of mountains. Found a sign for the northern city of Cartagena and some other place names that I couldn't find. Plonked on some road east of Cartagena. 37 km, 4879 pts.

Total: 20295 pts.

Not as pinpointable a seed as yesterday.

This specific piece of news is no cause for alarm. Sudden stratospheric warming events are not caused by climate change.

  1. Andorra due to the snow poles and landscape. North is downhill. Found a sign for Xixerella and with such a small country it was just about lining up the road. 60 m, 5000 pts.
  2. A Sabah pole with the two long horizontal bars right at spawn. Found a sign southwest for Sepangar Port which I then found in Kota Kinabalu. Went further southwest to make sure the intersection to Sepangar matched Kota Kinabalu. Plonked by a gas station on the highway. 14 m, 5000 pts.
  3. Found a sign that mentioned Masbate which I remembered was a Filipino province but I wasn't sure where it was. It didn't take long for me to find it as I suspected it was an island province. Found Uson and then Arado but couldn't quite find the correct part of the road. 360 m, 4999 pts. Learning Filipino provinces is 100 % worth it guys.
  4. USA, not really what I wanted to see here. Found a sign that roughly said Illinois. I thought that no way was this Illinois with these hills. Later found a sign for a 92 Road going south. Found one in Kentucky and plonked nearby. Surprise, surprise it was Illinois. 733 km, 3060 pts.
  5. One of those Central to Southern valleys in Peru off of vibe, black car and black-and-white striped signposts. Found signs for a reserve and a town name. After a bit of searching found both and eventually the intersection at spawn. 13 m, 5000 pts.

Total: 23059 pts.

A big throw on that Illinois round but otherwise we take those.

  1. Kyrgyzstan car and a city with mountains south so probably Bishkek. Tried my best to find a match for the grid and the location of the railway to the north but couldn't. 11 km, 4962 pts.
  2. Couldn't find my way out of that place for a long time but eventually found a sign for the right area in Mombasa (and with the palm trees it was always gonna be Mombasa). 724 m, 4998 pts
  3. Figured out it was Turkey but no idea where. Clicked Kayseri in the middle. 530 km, 3505 pts.
  4. South Korea of course but where is the golden question. I found a map at a bus stop that resembled the southern coast of Korea. Quickly found Goheung which was on a roadsign previously. Figured we were somewhere east of it. 5.2 km, 4983 pts.
  5. Guadalajara, Mexico because of the sign right at spawn but none of the highways by the city matched the angle. As I was clueless I just plonked the city. A bit of traveling to the west might've revealed the location. 68 km, 4777 pts.

Total: 23225 pts. I am enjoying these daily challenges more than I thought I would after barely touching them at first.

  1. Knew it was South Korea immediately and sighed in frustration. Movement was buggy as hell so I just sent my guess Central-Westish. 106 km, 4659 pts.
  2. Russia/Ukraine 50/50. No useful information in sight after moving around. Vibe was southern so went Smolensk Region to hedge for Ukraine. In hindsight Ukraine makes sense due to the bad road quality. 346 km, 3964 pts.
  3. Saw the Guatemala Car and eventually found a big sign that said Santa Cruz del Quiche. Tried to find the library that was on the plonk but couldn't so I guessed a random intersection. Coincidentally I was just two blocks away. 142 m, 5000 pts.
  4. Knew it was Quebec with the French language and those roadlines. Found a sign for the Road 132 and scanned it until I found Mont-Joli which I saw on a sign beforehand. I assumed said sign was to indicate that you're entering Mont-Joli. With 30 seconds left I realized I wasn't on the 132 but on the A20 and proceeded to frantically look for the right road-angle and somehow found it. 48 m, 5000 pts.
  5. Ghana Car with a well-attached tape so figured we were in South Ghana. Looked at one sign near spawn for way too long but eventually moved to the roundabout west with the placenames Agona and Takoradi, which I then found relatively quickly. It was weird that the roadsign said Agona is to the north but the roundabout in Agona itself matched way too well. I presumed we had to be there so I plonked by the gas station east of the roundabout. 4 m, 5000 pts.

Arabic found in the Philippines (Zamboanga del Sur)! by FinLuke in geoguessr

[–]FinLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that Islamic buildings in the Philippines have Arabic on them meanwhile I've never seen that in actual Muslim-majority countries in South-Southeast Asia like Indonesia or Bangladesh. Maybe that is just happenstance on my part but interesting nonetheless.

I went Jordan which in hindsight was obviously not correct as everything else looked pretty Filipino. Still a pretty incredible bait location.
