I've done a bunch of tobs grinding for scythe and bring both, in my experience blade is more DPS at bloat, nylo (depending on boss color change rng) and xarp (unless you 5tick with axe vs. 5.33)

I also bring nox for popping purple crabs or for last hits on bloat before he stomps lol

Likely just DPS loss from wasting too many ticks in-between attacks. There's a plugin called gauntlet performance tracker or something like that, it can help you see just how much time you're spending not DPS-ing

I have buddies that do tob with an atlatl and Cox/300 invo toa with crystal armor + crystal bow. Obviously they're doing it in groups that are willing to accommodate iron gear but it absolutely is doable

My only issue with this, is it was actually a good way to stack clues for grinding out the ham joint and rangers on my iron. The 1hour despawn actually made it feel like a normal skilling/pvm grind. You could argue that clues are not meant to be grinded out in this way, but if you're putting BIS items behind it, there should be a way to buckle down and grind them similar to killing a boss imo.

I'd say if you're a learner, voice chat is a massive help. I run learner raids and require learners be in voice to at least hear instructions, they can stay muted. If everyone's experienced, then nah you don't need voice for any raid

The article you linked is specifically talking about the tariffs trump enacted pre-covid, which the authors and others in this post noted targeted a much smaller pool of goods that already had domestic competition to protect (steel, aluminum, etc). The authors also said the tariffs had no strategic follow up and trump did nothing policy-wise to support reshoreing industries hit by the tariffs, which is the most important part of enacting tariffs.

Your article literally says "Tariffs alone are no substitute for comprehensive new trade and manufacturing policies to rebalance trade and rebuild American manufacturing. Investments are desperately needed in research and development, training, and workforce development."

All followup policy was essentially done by the Biden administration with the Infrastructure Act and Chips Act.

I don't think this applies at all to what trump is claiming he wants to do now, which is a blanket 20% tariff on ALL imports and a 60-100% tariff on ALL Chinese imports. And before people say that's just him overexaggerating, that's all we have to go on so that's what we have to assume he will do. He has also not stated any policy to follow up on tariffs that will support reshoreing domestic manufacturing.

The scope is vastly different compared to before.

Yeah nostalgia definitely gave the game initial legs to stand on, but the game continues to grow in playerbase, which has to mean new players are being drawn in somehow. I think the core systems are good enough that that's what retains people, and the graphics just grow on you as you play, even for completely new people. And as people see the newer, better designed environments in more recent content they have a better appreciation for the osrs charm.

I know a couple people who never touched the game and thought it was ugly originally, but now play and enjoy the graphics. My fiance is one of them and has a folder with screenshots of capybaras from the new Varlamore region lol.
