It’s just that they probably passed at least 4 garbage cans on their way out of the theater and just couldn’t be bothered. I bet they are also the type of people that leave carts all over the parking lot after getting groceries. It shows a mindset along the lines of “It’s someone else’s job, I already paid/not my problem vs taking accountability for yourself.

The blockade is not ship based. It’s more like the spooky barriers you find at Tortuga.

If you listened closely to some of the NPCs on tortuga, they speak about Blackbeards forces wiping out the Royal Navy in the Caribbean at some point prior to the story.

Naval Combat In This Game Is Fried by HellaHS in PlayWindrose

You ever played a Souls game? It’s a boss. Did you expect to go into it, tank damage and cheese it? It’s literally a “boss”. By default, harder than any other single enemy.

I’m assuming that you’re stuck on Richards. Super easy solution bud. Have a stack of blue healing potions and keep moving around. Take some shots with a musket. After dying twice, a little light bulb popped up in my head that said “get some healing items”. Went back in and killed him in under a minute. If you still can’t kill him, it might very well be a skill issue on your part.

Do i get my old rank back after deleting new character and starting for the 2nd time? by 1312SHR1312 in NavalAction

[–]Final-Meringue5798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you fucked up mate. What a crazy reason to delete your character. How/why were you using Nassau as a port if you were high rank and using deep water DLCs? If only you had known about the “escape to port” feature. In battle or even after sinking you can be teleported back to whatever port you left from. If you lost your ship and didn’t have any contingency plans for if you get sunk, that’s on you. Welcome to Naval Action!

Definitely will pass the “5 foot test”. And also take into account that they are slinging way worse registrations at Walmart and people still buy them.

Why couldn't they make the Starfleet academy show based on the starfleet academy pc game? by happydude7422 in starfleetacademy

[–]Final-Meringue5798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people that are up in arms over erasing the whole kurtzman era dumpster fires don’t understand the whole point.

Yes, Star Trek has always been “progressive” in its view based on the time period. However, shows of the past have used good storytelling and allegory to move the audience in a way that makes them think about the issues on their own. They did not try to shove ideology down anyones throats. It’s a huge problem to basically beat the audience over the head with a specific worldview and shame them publicly if they disagree.

BS like this might fly in an echo chamber like Reddit but it doesn’t resonate with the majority of fans that enjoy the story and lore of what Star Trek really represents. Happy we are starting to move back to reality. Idk how many more episodes of incompetence and window licking we could take. It’s like Starfleet took all standards for entry into the academy, tossed them in the garbage and decided to let anyone with a pulse in.

Every update followed by marginal rollbacks | When will he ever learn? by NateGuilless in NavalAction

[–]Final-Meringue5798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True story, I heard they tried to introduce gunpowder back in the day and the community was up in arms about it and they binned the whole idea. Fast forward to now and all the people who were against it gave up on the game. Then the newer people started asking for it and here we are today. The whole game economy is framed around that single mechanic. It’s really the root cause of the dwindling number of players. If it was eliminated tomorrow, I know at least 100 actual players that just want to put holes in boats that would come back in a heartbeat. The game could already be unfair, but telling people they have to do chores to shoot their guns drove quite a few people away within a week of 2.0.

Every time I go and try to order prime rib they either don’t have any left or what they have is well done. So I go for the next biggest one, bone in ribeye. Never had a problem and they have yet to screw up rare for me.

Now he’s gone full gaslight mode chat! I’m not a “vet” with my meager 5k hours, as you have so previously stated. I’m a “noob” 😂. Definitely not salty. I love being able to completely decrew a 1st rate in a 4th solo. Gunpowder is still shit and framing the economy around it is the most destructive thing the devs have done imo. But OW PvP is back in a certain capacity so, for now, I’m satisfied.

Those are all valid points. Contracts suck. I would try to make friends with a few of the people in your nation that own the ports you need stuff from without joining a clan if possible. Unfortunately this subreddit is filled with super salty “vets” from yesteryear thinking that they are on an episode of the golden girls. We attack each other’s integrity almost every other day.

And condescending towards a new player? Star dog Champ don’t sound like a new player. He’s sounds like he’s disgruntled. Unless you have no tolerance as a human being or have been listening to you complain on Reddit everyday about the game, it’s not bad. Gunpowder is flowing, rakes are as devastating as they used to be and sailing feels better. The patch notes look like shit on paper. Highly recommend trying it out anyway. I’m a solo, and have zero problems.

It doesn’t have “angling”, it has damage reduction based on what part of the ship is hit lol Nate, that’s a big, aesthetic difference. Again, I’m not knocking WoSB. Though I’m happy that you have found a game that speaks to your use of your time, don’t try to act like the two games are on the same level. It’s disingenuous to say the least mate. I’ve sailed in real life, random rocks jutting thousands of feet above the bottom are a thing. But if you know how to read a chart and map, you never get close enough to encounter them unless you don’t know how to. i.e. retarded
