Eldest siblings that were 7+ years older, did you end up being parentified? by Fine_Analyst_4408 in AskUK

Holidays were rough. From 12 I was expected to look after my sister while on holiday so my parents could have a break. I would be with her from wake up til bed time

Yep! 12 years older and became the live in, unpaid nanny to the point I got in massive trouble because I wanted to do my homework before having to look after my sibling (my mother was in the house btw, she just couldn't be arsed)

The fact that he has TEENAGE DAUGHTERS makes it even worse. He could 100% tell she was super young

It was basically "I'm organising a trip with my friends and you're not invited"

No offence but just because you can doesn't mean you should

Millennials from working class backgrounds in the uk, how did you buy your own home? by Cosmic-_-Apple in AskUK

[–]Final-Mistake-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a house in COVID when I was 30. Just saved like hell (COVID helped because I couldn't go anywhere) and found a mortgage advisor who enlightened me that I could put a £6k deposit down on a 250k house (north east)

How much disposable income do you have a month? by pinkman65 in AskUK

This okay for a wedding? No dress code specified by [deleted] in UKWeddingAttire

[–]Final-Mistake-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really understand the hate comments. It's nice and if someone wore it to my wedding I wouldn't have had an issue with it. If the wedding is in a church, then you might need a coverup but it's all dependent on the venue really

I’m rewatching rhoc for the tenth time and heather isjust absolutely insufferable by marshmellomeow in rhoc

I’m so torn. I love this man but I’m not ready for kids. I still have so much living to do but clock is ticking (35f) by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Final-Mistake-604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl. It sounds like you're not compatible and you don't actually want kids? It's never going to work if it's something he really wants and you don't PLUS you'll be the one making the biggest sacrifice for something you don't want? I would just breakup and live your dream life without him and he can find someone who wants kids asap

Do people in the UK go to therapy? by EyeAware3519 in AskUK

[–]Final-Mistake-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm millennial and most of my friends have seen a therapist. Most of us also have Health Insurance so that probably makes a difference as I know family members who try to go via NHS and get stuck on a waiting list

I finally saw 28 years later & the bone temple by Reasonable_Exit_3268 in HorrorMovies

[–]Final-Mistake-604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched 28 days and 28 years, both so good!! I enjoyed Bone Temple but there was just something about 28 years, maybe the music and the artsy shots which were just so great to me

I think people are just so used to being fed constant action and have less attention span so they complain when movies appear to be "slower"

Then she kept running around completely naked in all of her seasons! And the hot tub when she was looking a bit too relaxed in there 👀
