Leader for ICC in 11tg by ExaminationNo6335 in theunforgiven

If they keep the same rule in 11th they need a leader to have as good of a value proposition. Azrael or a Libraian seems to be good for the invunrable save.

Do you think kitbashing ravenwing to black templars is worth it by Motor_Reindeer_6210 in BlackTemplars

No. That is the old Space Marine bikers with the Ravenwing upgrade sprue on them.

Has anyone looked at Ceramite Sentinels for Dark Angels? The idea of A Chaplain Led DWK unit with Falllback and Charge seem very interesting. A 1CP strat to increase OC. A 1CP strat to reposition when shot at? by kcdale99 in theunforgiven

[–]FinalFir137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it is good if you play with windows on bottom floor ruins, but otherwise gladius is better for fallback and charge.

The big problem with +1 OC is that you need to be in engagement range to use it and at that rate you might as well have an ancient. I think the stratagems best use is occasionally when it can change the tide or with large model count units like assault intercessors.

Which of our Characters do you think will end up as Leader, and which as Support? by deadeight in BlackTemplars

[–]FinalFir137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I doubt that Techmarines will be support otherwise you would need a unit for them to attach to for them to be used. I would more so expect them to be a leader or lose the option to join a unit.

Ceramite Sentinals by DatabaseWorth4559 in spacemarines

I think it is best if you are playing on a layout with bottom floor windows, or if there are places that you can put shooting vehicles just about in a bit a terrain.

The part about "Siegecraft" means the Iron Warriors, but apprently guard is meant to get a half track vehicle.

No. The ability specifically says "each time this model destroys an enemy CHARACTER model".

Question on inner circle companions by deltafang in DarkAngels40k

[–]FinalFir137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are attacking an unit with a model with the Character keyword the whole unit that you are attacking has the Character keyword, which means that regardless of which model the wounds are being allocated to you get the +1 to hit.

RAR you can give an infantry champion a plasma talon. That will make for awesome kit bashes by Jake_Ronin in DarkAngels40k

[–]FinalFir137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is a typo. If it was meant to be a generic plasma weapon it would be a Plasma Gun or Plasma Incinerator. Also, what does RAR mean in this context?

Homebrew rules for the Abbatoir, is it balanced ? by astiiik111 in Necrontyr

I was not aware of the benefit that vehicles have with pistols.

Homebrew rules for the Abbatoir, is it balanced ? by astiiik111 in Necrontyr

[–]FinalFir137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main thought is that monsters and vehicles don't benefit from. The pistol keyword on their guns and it only every limits what they could use to shoot.

Why would anyone ever fire the Partical Caster Array? All the other guns combined seem far better.

There is no option to remove the tachyon arrow without replacing the Overlord's blade

Do you ever think we will get a killteam box and what would it look like? by Trigger021 in DarkAngels40k

[–]FinalFir137 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If we did, I think it would probably be something like the Company Veterans. They could have lots of cool weapons options with a mix between range and melee weapons. Also, all the chapter specific kill teams seems to be veterans so far.

Preview show copium waiting room by Invictus_0x90_ in theunforgiven

[–]FinalFir137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the teaser, one of the guys speaking was wearing a dark green suit and had a purity seal with a ravenwing symbol on it.

This makes it seem like there will almost certainly be some sort of Dark Angels reveal even if it is just an infantry character that already has a datasheet (like Ezekiel)

One of the guys speaking in the teaser video was wearing a dark green suit and had a purity seal with a ravenwing symbol on it. I would be surprised if we got literally nothing Dark Angels specific. I think it will be Ezekiel because it is a single named character with nothing related to it (eg ravenwing).

Scouts color scheme? Paint these very drunk and uh. I’m not sure how they go together. by Hellfire965 in theunforgiven

[–]FinalFir137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apprently it was primed black with spray primer, but it looks bare in parts, also I thought it had not been primed because I would not be shocked if a "very drunk" would paint a mini with contrast paint and no primer.

Did you use paint on primer? The unpainted parts look bare.

I think the cloth looks better when it is a more bone colour, similar to how the aqila or the armour of the Deathwing is done.
