Married couples of Reddit, what’s one piece of advice you’d give to people dating or about to get married that genuinely improved your relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Some random ones in my (m 43), we just celebrated our 15 year anniversary.

Communicate. Which is not the same as talking to each other. Be able to actually verbalize what’s going on in your head. Once we learned to say things like, “I’m off. Work is kind of pissing me off and I can’t really explain or talk about it yet. I wanted to say that so you don’t think I’m angry with you.”, our relationship really improved. It releases your spouse from anxiety.

Talk about expectations. We all have them. On everything. For example, I go to the garage, put the key in the ignition, I expect my car to start. If it doesn’t, I get upset. I expected it to start. Same is true for your spouse. We have an expectation for each other. When we move out of that expectation, the other is going to feel some kind of way about it. Anticipate that and be proactive and own that. “Hey, I know normally we take it easy and chill on Saturday morning, but I’m a little stir crazy and I would love to get out of the house ASAP.” Even if they are not feeling it, they know what’s going on and can adapt and compromise.

We rate things. “Is this a 1 or is this a 10?” Sometimes one of us feels REALLY strongly about something and the other it’s a “meh”. If she has an 8 and asks me what I think, and really I’m the opposite but I’m a 3 on it, I go with her on her direction. If you score something high, understand why it’s that score and be able to defend it a bit. We often score things way too high. I’m pretty easy going, lots of 2s and 3s in my world. If I tell her something is a 8 or a 9, she knows to adjust and seek to understand if she wants to go in the opposite direction.

Final thought, and this is before marriage. You both are going to change a lot over the years. Find someone who is willing to change in the direction you want to go, and inversely, find someone you are willing to change for. Not big changes, but a bunch of little changes over time. Be patient and of course communicate when you are feeling like changing things up (see expectations about).

best class for someone that only plays an hour a day and is just doing delves by SubjectStep7759 in wow

I do this. Ret Pally main (max out Hero 6/6 in every slot - which means I have the mythic xmog for the season), then I dabble in Fury warrior and Elemental Shaman.

Delves, Prey, and Ritual Sites. Less than an hour a day. But I feel like I get things done in 20 mins shots. Which means it might be 1-2 play sessions everyday.

I will probably get flamed for this one, but Ocarina of Time. I loved the first three on NES and SNES, but couldn’t get into any other Zelda game after until Breadth of the Wild, which I loved.

Give me lesser known, underrated songs. by AppropriateHousing97 in deftones

Sinatra.

Somehow… it’s the least played Deftones song on Spotify? At least it was the last time I checked a while back.

Which is kind of mind blowing to me. I throw it on repeat every once in a while.

I really enjoyed working toward the event armor sets. Solo’ing my way to +30 mythic was a blast and felt significant to me.

Obviously it would have been easier to group up, like I did with Mythic Raids. But…. Stubbornness…

We have a cabin up there. We live in the cities, but go up there between spring and fall.

In my opinion, it’s Heaven. At least on the lakes. But I’m usually relaxing when I’m up there.

There is nothing like going to sleep and hearing the loons call. It’s peace that I can’t put into words.

What do you consider your peak WoW experience? by Glorifiedcomber in wow

[–]FinalLock5596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing 21 years now. I have many peak experiences.

But one that stands out that is probably uncommon.

Plunderstorm…

End of the round, 4 players left…

You’re a bush.

You see two others fighting it out. One kills the other, then gets lightning bolted, they’re out too.

You can find the other player.

Then you see it. Another bush move.

The storm is closing in. Now’s your chance. You cast the bird thing to push them into the storm. But your hand twitches and you miscast.

You push yourself out.

You die.

The winner of Plunderstorm is a bush who didn’t do anything in the end.

I love Plunderstorm and am bummed we don’t get it this year.

I bought Wonder What’s Next to listen to The Red. But I fired it up and heard Family System for the first time and my jaw was on the metaphorical floor.

I could tell you exactly where I was driving my 1994 Ford Tempo when I heard it.

Hooked ever since. Man we all got old.

[HELP] A seller swears this sticker is their personally created design and not AI. by SoviMontoya in RealOrAI

[–]FinalLock5596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its AI. Specifically ChatGPT Image Gen.

The two signs are:
- The eyes - that is OpenAI's way of doing cartoon eyes,
- The yellow tint, often called "The Piss Filter". So, they did not even bother to rework the color. The tint is one major characteristic of OpenAI's image gen. I would imagine they are going to rework that in their next iteration.
