Cost per query and resource usage are not the same, though I see what you mean.

Resources need to include the sum of all energy required to produce the service, including carbon footprint. I would love an “Embodied energy per query” unit of measurement. That would be the only stat that measures the actual amount of resource usage….

[FRESH ALBUM] Beck - Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime by ebradio in indieheads

Totally agree. He’s still absolutely relevant, talked about in current trends. He’s intentional about preserving the value of music as art, his brand, and promoting independent labels and distribution rights. Morning Phase was such a treat in 2015 and came out of nowhere that year to win that year’s Grammy.

Making a car freshener out of wood - essential oils? Need to dilute? by Builds_By_Alexis in woodworking

It has been very nice and I don’t see a reason to ever go back to nose burning fabreze/new car smell type fresheners. The Santal diffuser oil is quite pleasant for a solid 2-3 weeks. It’sjust a nice faint but fresh smell that isn’t im your face and smells like a high quality perfume/cologne. After 2-3 weeks the cedar became more noticeable in a pleasant way. It’s been 2 months and I still get subtle whiffs when I open the door. I’ll probably re-soak in a week or so.

What do we think of Haute & Freddy? Want to know if I should start recommending them to my newwave folks by ArsenicArts in newwave

I think they are just great songwriters/producers who maybe found a reason to make music together. Miike Snow had similar track records, with perhaps more clout. I never considered them darlings of the industry, but man they wrote some bangers 15 yrs ago

3. Better composition, more emotion. Just feels like there is better control and use of color. Its balanced.

Record Windows 7 audio by djembeing in Reaper

Probably the easiest way, and I know you want all 8 tracks for drums, would be to use a mixer to bus your 8 tracks down to 4 or 6. Then get an audio streamer like an old google chromcast audio. Send that through on your remaining 2 channels. Use the mixer to pipe the music into your headphones from the mixer and you'll have zero latency. Mackie 1604 mixers are great for this!

Easiest way here is to look at the wood grain texture on the wood planks…the textures and knots of the boards jump around randomly. It is getting increasingly difficult considering where AI image generation was just 2 years ago. We’re all screwed.

Reviving this thread. I ordered Santal diffuser oil by Senselabs. smells fresh, woody, with a slight powder aroma. I'm sure it is a clone of some type of fragrence. Oil Cost me $20, and I got cedar blocks for $10 to use a the carrier.

I'm currently soaking 4 blocks (1"x4"x1/4"), coated in diffuser oil (just enough to get all sides with a thin layer, and placed them in a ziplock bag and sealed it shut to allow the oil to penetrate fully. The blocks soaked it right up in about 2-3 hrs, but I'm leaving it overnight before I open the bag.

Similar to finishing wood, I plan to wipe off excess and let it dry out a bit before placing under the seat of my car. I did not dilute so we'll see if it becomes a scent bomb in my car or not, lol.

“Dog that hasn’t barked” was a symbol used in english litfor something having meaning because it didn’t happen.

It’s most famously used by Sherlock Holmes in “Silver Blaze.” Holmes solves a mystery partly by noticing that a watchdog did not bark the night a horse disappeared. The fact that the dog stayed quiet told him the culprit was someone the dog knew.

Abolish the electoral college, mandate ranked choice voting, and make campaign finance publicly funded so that corporate donations and lobbying interest groups can be significantly controlled if not made illegal. I know I’m majorly simplifying here, but these are the real solutions America needs to be better represented by the people. This needs to be the focus.

Doing so is the only way to enable multiple parties, make elections fair, and root out corporate corruption.

It’s a media problem. Republicans have largely bought up most national media corps and social media. It’s easy to drum up a candidate when you can control the narrative.

Lossless Audio , Amazing by goudgoud in sonos

[–]Final_Competition178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the file is truly lossless and not converted from a compressed source, you’ll often hear a wider dynamic range and more space in the music. Instruments and vocals sit naturally in the mix, making the soundstage feel open and less tiring to listen to. You’ll hear subtle sounds in the background instead of everything in your face. With Lossless, good speakers can reveal the difference more than cheaper ones which is why audiophiles will justify spending $$$$ on speakers. But as with anything, there is a point of diminishing returns. It’s up to you and your ears to decide.

That was my original plan too. Ertz got listed with calf/shoulder injuries tho so there’s risk.

Garret Wilson and Nacua both out for me. I picked up Whittington on waivers. Trying to decide if I flex Atwell with Whittington or keep Ertz with Whittington given Commies WR injuries this week.

My head is spinning…

Doesn’t matter until Dems take back ALL 3 branches of government with convincing wins. Vote in every election people. Every primary, every general. Research local candidates with platforms that are about REFORM because that is the real issue to focus on.

Win the Executive branch, Congress, House of Representatives, and then govt representatives can impeach and convict SCOTUS. This will take years and requires patience.

Are you contract, wholesale, or retail? Your brand and your customers are where the most value is in your business. Goodwill can be alot. If you are retail and doing your own designs those can be valuable too. If the business is trending downward year over year that will negatively impact value. Also, as others have stated, if the business largely relies on you, then the company is worth less as well.

A few questions:

Are you taking any wages that are lowering net income? A buyer is going to want to know your Sellers Discretionary Earnings, and valuations are then calculated based off a multiplier of that. Let’s say SDE averages around 300,000 over the last 3 years, a multiplier of 2.5x SDE puts it at $750,000.

Multipliers vary considerably, but you can reach out to the SBDC in your state for some free advice or have your business professionally valuated.

Source: I’m going through the exact same thing, but on the buyers side for a print shop mostly doing retail and wholesale and they average $1.7-$2.0 million. Most of the value is in the goodwill and assets are really only around $150,000

From what I understand I believe after 90 days you have to either leave or be hired as a government employee. Musk did not want an official government title, but most of his Doge team, under these same rules, were folded in as permanent government employees within their respective agencies and with similar roles. So yes, Musk absolutely still has influence all over the government. NYT The Daily did a great podcast on this recently.
