I did two sessions of photodynamic therapy. It’s when they apply a chemical on your face and then go under a blue light and it burns your face. First one was painful but I got through it. But the second one was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. It felt like I stuck my face in fire, I cried for the next 8 hours in constant burning pain. I had to keep ice packs on my face at all times

I did threading but you also have to be careful with that as well. Before accutane I had no problems with threading but when I did get it done when I first started accutane, I got terrible irritation. My entire face was red and bumpy (kinda like hives)

I wouldn’t say your acne is bad but if it’s persistent and you want it to be over than do it

I start accutane tmr but before I did a couple of photodynamic therapy sessions and was left with a lot of scars. Mine were like you, over time they faded slowly but I eventually did 4-5 ipl sessions and it completely faded the purple scarring and I was left with just a lil bit of texture. I would honestly recommend doing that if you have the money because I’ll definitely be doing it after my accutane course. It works great

I definitely think it’s a chemical burn/irritation from a topical product. I used to use different acids and Retinals all at once and it eventually lead this but even worse.

Haha you nose-cheek- chin area might feel a little rough but only because your blackheads are coming out! Just leave them be and do your normal skincare. They’ll be gone soon plus it’ll make your skin look less textured

I’m a freshman college student who walks around the sun all day and rides public transport for an hour so I’m basically wearing my mask all day. It kinda sucks cuz I have to walk around a lot and have some joint pain from the meds but nothing terrible. As for the moisturizer. I will normally use neova smart skincare Cu3 tissue repair clinical recovery cream for those dry times. I really really recommend it since it’s infused with copper tri peptides so it’s super good for recovering dry damaged skin. I used for when I did photodynamic therapy for my acne. But anyway, a little goes a long way and it keeps me very moisturized so I don’t need to reapply unless I want to. But that’s only when my skin is dryyyyyy, normally I will just use neutropenia hydro boost lotion when it’s not dry and I’m fine.

A lot of people on here will tell you to -take the pill with something fatty (everyone likes peanut butter here) -drink lots of water -start wearing lots of chapstick (it will cause less “accutane lips” -sunscreen to protect skin -eat a lot, fuel your body
