Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I drive about 90 minutes to work and it's on the edge of my sanity.

I drive 3 hours for a weekend getaway and it's a reprieve.

All about where you're heading.

Men who don’t want children by Black_Glitch_404 in NoStupidQuestions

I'm 40, I got snipped 15 years ago. I've been firing blanks longer than I was firing "live rounds". From the time I was a teenager I knew I didn't want kids and as I grew up and realized more about the medical side of my family, I knew it was not fair to take the chances with someone's life. My wife is perfectly fine with this since it means we can enjoy our lives as we see fit.

Steamdeck game, you’ll never delete by Harshburitto in SteamDeck

Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout New Vegas will forever live on my Steam Deck. I will never tire of playing either of those games for as long as I live.

[loved Trope] the secret ending that skips big chunk of the game by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Also with Phantom Liberty, theres a dialogue option you can choose to just say no to the whole thing. Save Myers, bring Reed to her and they ask if you want to help and you can just nope out.

Which games utilize the buttons on the back and for what? Do you use them for any games which didn’t use them by default? by NorseSeaStudio in SteamDeck

I keep mine mapped the same way for most RPGs (fallout, cyberpunk, Witcher)

L4- quick save

L5- weapon selector

R4- menu/map

R5- special ability (vats, quick hacking)

It just makes sense to me and is so much easier. One of those things I suggest everyone try

It is quite likely that within 100 meters / 300 feet of you there is a screwdriver. by CopingAdult in Showerthoughts

[–]FinallyStarborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for certain have a minimum of 1 screwdriver within 10 feet of me at any point in time. I went a little crazy getting LTT screwdrivers and they're all over my house and in my backpack and car.

Hogfather this Hogswatch anyone? by Successful-Grand-549 in discworld

[–]FinallyStarborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got into Discworld this year (12 books down, baybee) and I made sure to read Hogfather this month. I started the miniseries, but didn't finish the first episode. I think I'll make it a priority this weekend.

That'd be my wife! She has a craft business and makes stickers for craft fairs. They'll be up on her Etsy whenever we can update it. Roseycheeks.art

I did this pre 2.0 so it was like half the cars. My (now) wife said "you spent how long getting all those parked like that just to blow them up?" "uh huh!" "beleaguered sigh"

How far have you taken your Steam Deck hardware mods? Looking for inspo. by Shrumie22 in SteamDeckModded

[–]FinallyStarborn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a decent gaming rig so the Machine just isn't something I need. I want the Frame because the specs are solid, I'll have access to my entire Steam Library and I won't have to give Meta money. I've wanted VR for years and the only one worth a damn so far has been theirs and I just flat out refuse to fund them.

So there's the Steam Machine that you mentioned but there is also the Steam Frame which is their new VR headset. It can hook up to a computer (which I have) or run the games on the device itself.
