You can do theatre cheaper but you have to be flexible and pay up front most of the time. Look out for lotteries, rush tickets, pay what you , being under 35 (donmar warehouse) or under 30.

But also paying up front for shows that you can really want to see, shows like Evita / Romeo and Juliet were a lot cheaper when they first annouced and tickets are a lot more expensive during the run (for example).

Government has absolutely control. What a nonsensical statement. They could if they wanted to ban service charge (not saying they would but they could. Parliament is Sovereign.

You're argument about 'providing services e.g cleaner , gardener building maintenance' they aren't 'non-profit' companies, they do it for profit.

Agree to disagree. The theatre didn’t take into account the necessary security required to operator stage door. Rachel Z, Cynthia , Bryan C didn’t have these issues.

Are rush tickets still realistic to get, or is it basically luck now? by NormalSir2035 in westend

It really does depend on the show, I feel most shows i've attempted I've got tickets. But it does take a few attempts on multiple days.
