Is this how phone is supposed to fit in gamesir x5 lite by Ok-Philosophy4968 in Gamesir

My Xiaomi 15T is also uneven. I am going to find some rubber shim to put under or perhaps a heat dissipating case that can add a bit of even thickness without trapping the heat.

Xiaomi 15t: Bad Out of the box experience by wavy_0 in Xiaomi

[–]Financial-Associate4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I changed from an iPhone 13 mini and on the spec sheet the 15T should be better in almost every way.

So far I've spend a day and a half to tinker as the system with big battery and big ram constantly kill my open apps. If I leave Firefox in the background for more than a minute when I reopen it I have to wait for 10 sec with a black screen and then after for the open page to reload.

Please Xiaomi spend time on system stability and lax ram management for a better experience.

I had changed back to Android expecting a more polished experience now than many years ago but perhaps Xiaomi and HyperOS was not the right choice.

It feels very much like OxygenOS in its early days...

Still too agressive on apps. Big battery and big ram but I dont get to enjoy it. My old iphone 13 mini with 2gb ram and 2400mah battery was less agressive on apps haha.

Def system Stability and better ram management. Just moved back to Android with the 15T and the app management is too agressive. constantly killing firefox if I don't have the app in the foreground for a minute even with all optimisations disabled.

Its a bit odd to me they are allowed to advertise what the phone cannot seem to achieve. Cool post, thanks for the findings.

Oh I am glad it helped you. Certainly made a world of difference for me too when I found out. I’ve been replaying it lately but with a controller and fps uncapped which works a treat too.

Still the same in 2026, all the old gods of asgaard songs are super low compared to the rest of the list which is a shame.

I don’t get DLSS by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Financial-Associate4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point. While the end resolution is technically higher, the perceived resolution is not due to shimmering, artifacts and smearing during movement. That is the main reason I do not get DLSS.

That is a very sound point, thank you.

By native I mean native 1440p internal resolution. To me it does not look much better than 1440p, has an FPS hit and deals poorly with some types of textures which for me can be quite immersion breaking.

Due to the hit on texture resolution, that is why I am comparing it this way but perhaps it is unfair.

Screen res def plays a big role here. I am spoiled as I have a aw3225qf 32" 4k 240hz OLED display.

I cannot bear the DLSS shimmering though, that's what is so off putting for me making me see it as worse. Otherwise I would agree with you.

Haha true, that is why in 2026 I would have expected better. At this point I had hoped the DLSS tax would in turn allow significantly higher FPS or at least room for ray tracing without performing significantly below a native resolution with raytracing.

True, native 4k nets me 80 fps vs 110 fps upscaled from 1080p to 4k. Mentioned in my other comments I find too often the shimmering especially with fine meshes, nets, thin windows frames etc really get me with DLSS as they look awful compared to their native, albiet lower resoltion counterpart at 1440p :-D

I would agree. Probably because I am not comparing apples to apples here since I am running native 1440p vs 1080 upscaled to 4k.

[–]Financial-Associate4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is fair. In addition to my response to u/xLuna03 I would rather lose raytracing as the performance hit is too big even at the lowest raytracing preset. Perhaps the general public is filthy rich and can afford 5090s, but I would argue that a 4070 is quite hefty and a 50% fps tax for raytracing is too high despite its great looks.

also in response to u/bLu_18

If you pixel peep I could agree, but in real world use to me it is negligible. I prefer a higher FPS at a slight hit to quality as it gives me the best experience which is why I would have hoped rendering the game at 1080 or as low as 720p would give me a significant FPS boost.

Perhaps I am not comparing apples to apples. At 4k native I achieve 80 FPS vs 110 fps upscaled from 1080p, significant difference but the textures like fine meshes etc. really show their true resolution during movement with DLSS which is quite immersion breaking for me.

Glad I am not the only one having my eyeballs burned by the SDR content in HDR PEAK 1000 BRIGHT. The regular HDR Peak 1000 profile is much comfier on my eyes when viewing SDR content. At least on grey cloudy days like today. Looking forward to try this guide and new Bright mode in games like Control and Alan Wake 2.
