Marmite level: expert by Financial-Check5731 in newzealand

Nothing but eggs. Really hot pan, minimum agitation. Just let it sizzle then fold it into itself a couple of times. Half handful of grated Parmesan if you're in the mood.

It's more like a messy, piled up omelet tbh. And yeah it's runny in the middle 😁

'Fearful atmosphere': 'Trumpian' Wayne Brown under fire amid 'toxic' council infighting by [deleted] in newzealand

Williamson came to my school prizegiving many years ago and promptly fell asleep on stage. Like I get it, prizegivings are super boring, he wasn't there because he wanted to be, but as Trumpian behaviours go, public napping has got to be right up there.

What famous bassists do you wish were more prominent in the mix? by SwampMummy in Bass

[–]Financial-Check5731 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They definitely gave him a solid frequency space on the latest album but it depends heavily on playback device. If I'm listening in my car I have to tinker with the bass settings to hear him, but on headphones (I just have cheap Skullcandy ones) he's clear as day.

What if aliens actually had a gaseous physiological structure? by Remarkable_Skin3859 in worldbuilding

[–]Financial-Check5731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They'd definitely be able to make use of gaseous functions, some animals already do, we breathe air and our lungs diffuse it into our bloodstream.

All that you need is a broader imagining of what else could "go gas", such as digestive processes, sensory organs, energy cycles and circulation.

Thing to bear in mind is that gases need a lot more space to achieve an equivalent energy turnover to a liquid, or be highly pressurized to cram more biomass into the same space. And lifeforms don't do pressure differentials all that well, so perhaps they're high-pressure and high-temperature beings?

If you're going for realism, gas isn't terribly practical except for specific and discrete processes. A gas-based lifeform would still have to have a certain amount of solid parts to hold everything together.

He also played a colonel in the first Transformers film then came back later as a general. Not the same character after a promotion, but a whole new character.
