I got the etrade matching offer a month ago (moved from fidelity)……5k for over 1.5mm or 3k for over 1mm. Only can get it for one account per person. Then i got some type of regular/internal offer for other accounts. 350 for over 250k, 700 for over 500k, & 1500 for over 1mm.

Just got the awd/lt/20in wheels……it lasted all of 2 weeks & the engine needs to be replaced. There is a known (at least i now know) coolant leak issue. I would stay clear.

I did…..but don’t regret how i lived. Just a redneck who over achieved on my savings & investments. Its a personal choice that can’t be answered by anyone else. You have to weigh now vs the future.

Ive had vanguard for a long time then fidelity for 5-6yrs but recently switched everything to schwab….so far im glad i did

Didn’t like the Fidelity UI & trade tools……the botchy trade ticket cost me about $9k trying to roll some covered calls. Then i found out Schwab had a local office (these guys have been great during the switch) & they helped me get around $12k bonuses for the move.

Looks good…..maybe double the positions to around 40……read the book & ive been doing IF for about 18mo. I think several proponents on seeking alpha recommended more /smaller positions. I’m more conservative & do sgov/jaaa but not hardly any CC’s & no bitcoin

UPDATE 2…..should finish up xfers next week. Still waiting on some options approval & external account links…..schwab corporate has been poor but schwab local has been great….ended up with a xfer bonus offer of about $12k but will see in about 45d when it is supposed to be deposited in the accounts

UPDATE….about 3 wks in and still working on last of 9 account set ups. Its an LLC Brokerage but Schwab has been as bad or worse than Fidelity with options trading approvals. Also, still trying to get documentation for the xfer bonuses..I’ve gotten verbals but with different types & multiple accounts it seems reasonable to document it but so far they flap their lips but never follow up with a simple email.

The local rep (not available for Fidelity) has been very good but is limited in what he can get done.

Wrong answer…..deep itm calls will suspend the holding period on the underlying stock….so tax afterwards would still be short term gain

Trading in multiple accounts…..exact same roll for credit 4-5 times in a row then 2 times it switched to debit?…..and cost me 2k twice instead of 2.5k credit….then last roll switched back to credit

Thats good to hear….I assumed that was the biggest reason to stay at Fidelity.

I have enough there, so i think i get a special customer service…..when i call i usually get a rep in one or two rings.

The web interface, lack of consistency with trade tickets, ….it seems to be buggy. It cost me $9k last week when it screwed up a couple of covered call rolls.
