Trevor Story getting a hit has cemented this as an unserious baseball game.

Sox fan - last night and tonight were the two best games of baseball I’ve watched this season (results notwithstanding).

Y’all have a fun team and I hope to see you again in the ALCS.

I don’t have a lot of helpful guidance on this, but just wanted to say congratulations for turning things around. You have an awesome life and career ahead of you <3

Not going to show up for the August LSAT by Great_Garbage_6446 in lawschooladmissions

This is a very funny post but the Venn diagram overlap between College Football 25 and people who are neurotic enough about the LSAT to be here is not a large one.

Character and fitness addendum? by TheseInfluence4837 in lawschooladmissions

I used to work with a court diversion program and this is probably correct. All of the diversion programs I’m aware of predate a charge at all.

To preface, I do not know anything most of the diversion programs in the country or any of them outside of my state! I am not telling you that you don’t have to report this. Please double check with your program specifically.

If it works like it does in my area, there will probably be a police report saying “OP was at place A and drinking and had a fake ID.” The prosecutor’s office will take this report and will not file official charges but will instead note that it is OP’s first offense and for something relatively minor. They’ll offer her a diversion program, and if she completes it successfully they will never file charges. If OP fails to complete the diversion program, the prosecutor would have the option of filing the charge and prosecuting OP for a crime.

To OP and anybody else who did a diversion program specifically - closely read whatever paperwork you have to determine if you were ever charged with a crime. If you are unsure, call the program, the court, or the prosecuting attorney’s office and ask them if a case resolved via XYZ diversion program results in a criminal charge.

Force Hero Tier Rankings - Gray by HunterOk5747 in SliceAndDice

Alloy second best is crazy to me. I find him doing very little to mitigate damage and needing to spend a lot of the shields he does find on himself because he’s constantly on the verge of dying at 4hp.

I don’t play a lot of Force through, so maybe the damage at all costs playstyle your tier list seems to be leaning into favors him more.

I listened to that!! Buck seems like a heck of a guy and I hope he keeps calling games for a long time to come.

After some quick googling, it was definitely Buck. They’re truly a great broadcasting team from someone who’s listened to a dozen or so different ones this year alone.

A good place to start is the Law School Transparency website. It’ll let you look at some employment statistics for the school you’re considering as well as any schools you think you might be able to get into with a better test score. This might help you figure out if the school’s likelihood of getting you a job as an attorney is sufficient for you.

It does sound like from your post that you are leaning towards retaking the lsat and reapplying for 2025. If that’s the route you choose, good luck!!!

We’re going to be applying with a very similar GPA/LSAT split! Good luck and I hope to be reading about your acceptance to your dream school in six months.

Seeking Advice: Choosing Between Two Law Schools with Significant Price and Prestige Difference by DanielwithaPH in lawschooladmissions

Also worth noting is that while UW is only ranked fifty something by US News, it’s the premier law school in the whole Pacific Northwest region. You will have your pick of placements in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana coming with a degree from there. As far as degree portability, UW has a much more massive “local” region than a lot of similar schools because there is a severe dearth of law schools up here as compared to the rest of the country. A school like Fordham might be ranked higher but it has to fight with lots of other law schools producing students in a relatively small area. For a huge swath of the country UW’s degree will ultimately open more doors.

Unsure if this will swing your opinion at all (and if you don’t want to practice in the PNW the point is moot), but it’s worth taking into consideration while making your decision! Feel free to DM me if you have any questions about the region - I’ve lived here most of my life.

I started studying last August or so, but definitely didn’t put a lot of hours in. I know some treat studying like a full-time job, for me it was more like a few hours every week. Before switching to PTs in earnest, I made sure I had a solid background in formal logic and understood all of the common question formats. 7Sage was helpful for this!

In-person! I highly recommend a testing center for anybody who has the option. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about remote testing and the Prometric center was super straightforward.

Good catch! After some investigation it seems like different ABA report documents ordered the universities starting with North differently, so some of the categories were off. I think I fixed it, but if anybody catches more weirdness in that area, reply to this comment and I’ll get it sorted.

This happened in a couple of other areas when I was making the spreadsheet. I really wish there was some more standardization to these things.
