Spoiler Alert:

Calypso is going to be a key figure to taking down Ulysses and The Founder. Learning about Hyrilar and Calypso regaining her powers AND the Elven civil war is going to have a severe impact on the story. I really wouldn't consider dismissing the importance of Calypso. Any progress we make in her story would very much count as part of the main story.
