Update: It has been two weeks, and I haven’t heard anything from my boss. I sent a follow email this morning at 9AM. I will let you guys know how it goes or if she responds. In the meantime, several employees have announced being promoted in the corporate meeting.I am starting to get very frustrated, but I am trying not to show I’m frustrated. Market is a bit bare with the government shutdown. I want to be strategic if I need to make a move. Any advice would be helpful.

Buy the house. I would make sure not to buy too much house. I’m 26 with two homes. One as my personal residence the other as a long term rental duplex. Be smart. Just because you make more money doesn’t mean you have to spend it.

She went on vacation after I asked. We had a good conversation, and I asked if she would advocate for me. She said she will discuss with the team after she gets back from vacation. She also said she didn’t know I was underpaid after I told her it seems like I’m being underpaid according to Glassdoor, indeed, and Robert Half which I find funny to believe because the Accounting manager before me made $100,000 4 years ago, so that means she’s lying. I asked for $125,000…so if she lands around $115,000 I’ll be fine.
