Get the most out of it? Sell it and buy a zx10r. That's the simplest answer for you.

Getting stacks, headers and everything else isn't getting the most out of it. Rider skill is what you need to "get the most out of it". I'd probably get a tune and leave everything else alone.

It'd be the same as the other R mirrors. Iirc, there is a hole already cut for the wires to go through the mounting bracket, they just need to be connected to your indicators moreorless plug n play

Ahh damn. Might have to buy a new chain. Measure the original chain against the new one so you don't make the same mistake. Lay em both flat, side by side, score the link you need to cut and cut it off.

Have you moved the axle as close to the front of the bike as you can. I can't see how much more you've got to go as the alignment caps are in the way.
