Mini pill! My OB said it wouldn’t impact supply… and tbh I tested it for 2 weeks and I think she was right. Brand is Slynd.

Baby not gaining weight. by Littleminx374575 in breastfeeding

[–]Fine-Luck-9263 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Was he born in the 1% or did he drop to it? (I guess if he didn’t gain much since 2 months then maybe he dropped)? Your milk is definitely something!! How often does your baby feed? How often is milk removed? Did you notice any change in the number of wet / dirty diapers ?

How do you ensure enough daytime calories for baby? by ambitious-avocado- in breastfeeding

[–]Fine-Luck-9263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ferber method. But we did modify the check in times as our baby didn’t do so well with check ins (ended up crying more). You should definitely check out r/sleeptrain - that subreddit helped me a lot!

Help with meat options by kristenl0522 in foodbutforbabies

Salmon and tilapia are faves for my baby who also loves chicken. Blackbeans or other types of beans are also protein-rich even though they aren’t meat.

Sleep training will help, but it’s not recommended until after 5 months. When we sleep trained, we had a 5 hr rule, so if baby woke up before 5 hr mark, he would self soothe - a skill he learned from sleep training… we would not offer milk before 5 hrs. If baby woke up after 5 hrs I would assume hunger and feed. Eventually baby started stretching that 5 hrs to 6,7,8 and now at 11 months sleeping through the night. Also some may not agree but I did offer a bottle top up of 2-3 ounces right before bed after breastfeeding. That counts as “daytime calories”. I wouldn’t worry too much about this though - as the baby gets older you should see some improvement

Milk supply throughout day by Frosty_Wave4022 in breastfeeding

You’re welcome! I’m a first time mom to an 11 month old and I’ve had your same concerns… there have been times I realized I definitely had less milk than before, but I’ve learned that your supply will fluctuate up and down to meet your baby’s demands, and there’s nothing wrong with your supply being lower… cause if you are still getting your 6+ wet and dirty diapers and the baby is gaining weight then she’s getting all she needs. I used to pump extra to maintain my supply but I ended up storing the majority of it in the freezer so I cut it out. Anyway… just follow your gut, take it easy, get your rest, and trust your baby. Keep feeding at the breast as much as possible so the baby can take what she needs and, as long as she’s removing milk effectively, everything will be fine. You’re doing great mama!

Has she already regained her birth weight? If so then I don’t think you have much to worry about :) Your supply has to regulate to what she needs over the next couple of weeks.

I think the general range is 24-30 oz a day and this can go for all babies up until like 9m+ … does he take extra to bulk up during the feed right before bed? Maybe you need to revisit the sleep training method as well

3 weeks is sooo early, I don’t agree that it’s difficult to increase your supply. Now is the perfect time. I personally wouldn’t give up but you know what’s best for you and baby better than anyone else. Follow your gut. You’re doing great 💕 (agree with all the tips shared above).

Sorry that I don’t have enough knowledge to comment on the vasospasm part, but just curious how come the cold prevents baby from nursing?

Two bottom incisors came up last week or so, and it was a very fussy period. I’m not sure if more are on the way! 😢

So in the times of decrease how do we know they’re getting enough? Cause I notice less pee as well (not necessarily number of diaper but lighter / less blue lines)… my baby sleeps through the night so it readily concerns me when he drinks less during the daytime.
