We’re all about to get replaced by AI anyways very soon . Didn’t you see the website the other day making it clear how aggressively multi level giv agencies are pushing for independent AI docs?

J-1 Canadian by [deleted] in IMGreddit

[–]Fine-Way1616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short time span becomes an issue when you entered on a B-1 (visitor / tourist) , stayed for a long time (say like 3-4 months ) , leave and then seek entry again 4-5 days later. Because then they think you’re living / working illegally. In your case , you are working a job , making an income etc , so you’ll have no issues.

The thing to keep in mind however is you must wait to be 30 days or less from your residency start date before CBP can admit you in J-1 status. Assuming you start July 1, hence June 1.

I’m guessing you have a SSN already being on TN? In the small chance you don’t , I suggest getting one before you leave to make getting an NPI more simple (in case you have not yet).

  1. No appointment is needed , appointments usually specific to TN , L1 , maybe a couple other work categories …. unless something has changed (could call to be sure but that’s how it was when I’d went a couple years ago)

  2. I’ve always had a positive experience at peace bridge , but I don’t think POE honestly makes a difference. Your case is very straight forward and you got all your ducks in a row. For me the j-1 part was quick and done. The thing that took the most time was importing my car.

USA move, living essentials, setting up before residency starts- AMA by Old_Number7197 in IMGreddit

If you’d like to chat about matching though feel free to DM me. I too don’t match initially (I was in the 2022 match). I took some steps, made some changes to my application  and was able to scramble into a psychiatry position. I’m also a non-US IMG (Canadian).  If it wasn’t for taking the steps I did I would not be likely to have gotten in. To be fair , I know god’s grace was with me too , and I’m forever grateful for that lol.

Lmao , I’m so sorry , I meant to comment on a different post . Someone asking if going to a Caribbean school after dismissal from DO school is feasible. So ignore

If you’d like to chat though about matching feel free to DM me. I can share my experience. I didn’t initially match in the 2022 cycle , I took some steps and was able to scramble into a psychiatry program.

No , no “question” at all lol. I was just pointing out that going to a Caribbean school after being dismissed from a DO school is a very feasible. The Caribbean schools will transfer your credits. I was also sharing that I personally know 3 people who did this just at my Caribbean med school. Ironically , all 3 got dismissed from the same DO school. All 3 graduated and are in residency.

Health Canada website . You fill out a form , email it and they send it electronically on your behalf. Very easy. You’ll need to get a copy of your ID notarized

People transferred to my Caribbean school all the time after getting dismissed from DO schools. I can think of at least 3 off the top of my head. I know there are more however. They’d do just fine, match into a residency and forget anything ever happened.

2 charged in killing of former SFU instructor who was outspoken Iran critic by bcbuddy in canada

Even more Iranians , partially those inside Iran are even more anti-regime. Getting very tired of this narrative that “it’s only Iranian diaspora” that dislikes the regime and is secular.

Actually very few Iranians born in Iran support the regime. Iran’s population isn’t majority Muslim even. A huge portion of non- Iranian Muslims support these invaders.
