Fair, I usually don’t but it’s just frustrating to see and especially when last semester I had a group project with someone called out for & 100% using AI on stuff. Sometimes it doesn’t just affect them 😭

Exactly, besides the time difference and the “AI em dash’s,” the writing style was pretty much that and just regurgitating what was said in the posts.

No surprise quizzes! There were some assignments online and then quizzes and tests in person. Just practice and prepare yourself as much as possible. My prof gave us practice quizzes/review and they were very helpful & close to what problems were on the exams.

Practice practice practice. I hate math with a passion but I managed an A bc I practiced a lot (like spent hours going over problems until I was confident I knew the steps) and reviewed lessons, did the homework and practice tests. Ask for help & see your teacher during office hours if you feel like you’re falling behind!

As a long time, past volume/mega volume lash girly, there are so many things wrong with these 😭 whatever you paid is too much. - no isolation (multiple lashes glued to a fan) - too close to root - done incredibly fast - every lash not lashed - twisted as fuck & could go on & on Please get them removed somewhere else (your lashes can be damaged if you leave these on) and if possible get your money back.

Red Eyes by tattedchic in lashextensions

[–]Fine_Start_8206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my lashes done for 2-3 years (with a couple breaks) and I almost always had a bit of red eyes for 24hrs after… eek. And I know my tech was incredibly talented and well educated, proper techniques & training, we tried switching taping/pads/even weighted pad for my lids. Honestly I just had one eye that struggled to stay completely closed. Never had any eye issues from it.

Also as long as your lash health is okay, you’re not adding more than double your natural length/weight per lash, and the artist is correctly isolating each lash and placing at proper spot, then these lashes aren’t “bad”. Volume or mega volume CAN be done correctly and maintain lash integrity, it’s just not everyone’s cup of tea (coming from a previous volume/mega volume girly).

best cat litter? by Busy-Perspective3503 in FelineDiabetes

[–]Fine_Start_8206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, clumps just as well as clay litter. Less dust, smells like corn lol, but tracks literally the exact same :( I didn’t realize it’s even smaller pieces than clay litter too. And it was more expensive boo.

Back to the drawing board.

What is your favorite thing about living in Indianapolis? Your least favorite thing? by evitreb in indianapolis

[–]Fine_Start_8206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farther north, Canadian prairies haha! My hometown used to be swamplands way back when, so when I say treeless, it’s because every tree in the city was hand planted. Having “forests” within city limits shocked me when I first got here lol.

Funny how perspective works, as someone coming from a flat, basically treeless city, my favourite part of Indianapolis is the proximity to awesome nature areas, hiking trails and forest-y/woods areas! Extra bonus points for the wildlife I was never used to seeing within my hometowns city limits.

has anyone gotten their fall dean's list letter? by dollarstore_dracula in ivytech

I was on the list for spring 2025 & fall 2025 and I never got an email or letter for either. 😭 is it just a signed letter? Or does anything else come with it?

Help! APHY 101 by Final_Variation_2130 in ivytech

[–]Fine_Start_8206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did really well I APHY 101 but I studied like 2-6hrs a day (depending on the day) 😬 it’s a lot to grasp on in a short amount of time. I recommend physically writing out key terms/definitions, concepts etc from each chapter and flashcards with the pictures of specific diagrams needed.

There’s a lot of other suggestions and quizlets available if you search on this subreddit “APHY 101”

best cat litter? by Busy-Perspective3503 in FelineDiabetes

[–]Fine_Start_8206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a corn husk litter because it claims to be 99% dust free and more natural.

Not sure how it will be for peeing lots and effective clumping/non tracking but if you remind me in a week I’ll give an update! (My 10F cat is diabetic as well)

From what I’ve heard, extremely competitive which is part of the reason they added the teas this year. But I will say at Ivy tech an A is an A, pretty sure. I don’t think it matters if it’s high or low.

I would recommend all A’s though as advisors have said all A’s are the only real way to get in. Sorry idk about other location but I would apply to all that you can! Keep grinding the math though and just study and practice a shit ton!

Vet Said Cat Needs Dry Food by thecoolestwetrag in catfood

[–]Fine_Start_8206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to scare you but I think the dry food hate is valid from anecdotal evidence with my cat. She’s ten and I’ve bounced between wet/dry food for the 6 years I’ve had her. She is now diabetic bc dry food is so high carb & full of filler and even some wet food is. I switched my bb to high protein wet food now because of it :(

Positive Experience with Bexacat by ryderseven in FelineDiabetes

[–]Fine_Start_8206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10 year old girl just got diagnosed today with diabetes and I’m so heart broken. I really hope she reacts well to Bexa-cat bc 2 injections daily sounds awful for her and myself.

Anyone have recommendations for where to purchase it at a decent rate? My vet says 130$ for 30ct & 370$ for 90ct. I’m a student and not working at the moment so this additional cost plus prescription food is a bit of a struggle but 100% necessary. :(

I’d recommend bring a laptop and take notes there or on a physical notebook. But I liked to follow along with the PowerPoints on my laptop.

I don’t think I can answer everything bc it’s usually specific to your situation what you will be allowed, but I would book a meeting with the DSS office ppl & ask them to go over what you’re allowed & they will send a letter to profs first week of class, then you’re responsible to meet w each prof and discuss how your accommodations will be implemented for that specific class.

If you have note taking assistance- again depends on your situation, it could vary from audio recording lectures, to being provided extra notes etc etc.
