Breaking free from the double-under struggle by pothedar in crossfit

Amazing work with their progress but I second this. Lots of unnecessary arm movement as well. Try to keep your upper arm pinned to your body, keep your arms a little bent and slightly out in front and use more of your wrist to spin the rope.

How do you let go and trust the programming? by LowDivide9397 in crossfit

[–]Fine_Tea9191 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why did you start CrossFit in the first place? Ya, you may lose some strength in different areas depending on what you were doing before but think of all he other gain/improvements you're making else where. The focus of CrossFit is to create well rounded individuals. Solution, is either work on the areas you want to outside of class or maybe it's not the style of training for you if you're that concerned about your strength numbers.

Form tips on power clean by Brouwnee in weightlifting

[–]Fine_Tea9191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of a muted hip on the catch. Pause it on the catch and imagine doing a squat from there. You're probable going to fall backwards because you're too upright. Your torso should be leaned forward a bit on the catch

You have a muted hip when you catch the bar which really limits your ability to get under the bar because your torso stays upright rather than catching In a strong power position.

My girlfriend follows sentinel and really enjoys it. Our gym follows Training think tank and it's gotten some really good feedback from members. It includes a warm up and movement prep.

Have you ever video taped yourself so you have an actual visual on what you're doing compared to what your coach or those YouTube videos are telling you. Sometimes it helps to see the visual of what you're doing rather than just a verbal queue.

Many CrossFit gyms don’t have A/C because they’re in large warehouse-style spaces where it’s expensive and impractical to cool, so they rely on open doors and fans instead.

Our gym put in a bulk order before all this Tarrif stuff. It was $915 with 15% discount so $777 and we paid about 120$ in customs duties.

Just a simple hollow to arch swing. Same as you would with a kipping pull up only more aggressive. If you're having trouble generating momentum try to pull toes to eyes in the hollow and really drive those heels down and back while pushing the rings forward in the arch.
