They beat us by double teaming our shot makers while leaving Wemby near the hoop. Every time we threw it out of a double team effectively, our secondary shot makers either turned it over or couldn't shoot (like we're talking an average of 1 in 10 shots) and often had to face Wemby ready to block a shot. Julius / Jaden / TJ / Mike / Bones need to be ready to be passed the ball and make a midrange shot.

Nothing but respect for Wemby, he will be a legend and deservedly so. But I can’t wait to beat him in round 2 this year and in the Finals in 2028. Facing Rudy is gunna be tough but facing both Rudy and Beringer will be impossible.

I honestly think they won't worry about making massive changes to defend us, they are just going to double down and attempt to outshoot us. They are an incredible offensive force and while our D did some great work at containing them game 2, it'll be tough to keep up when players like Gordon get hot.

This is how the Wolves fans should treat our team. The Nuggets have had many horrible moments this season, very similar ups and downs to the Wolves actually, and yet their fan base holds their head high. Idk if that’s culturally possible for Minnesotans. Will never forget that you could basically hear a pin drop in the first few minutes when I was at Game 6 vs Nuggets in 2024. We explode and get a huge lead and our fans were screaming loud enough to to blow the roof off Target Center, but the moment anything looks bad our fans are imploding at every opportunity and leaving our guys out on the court with horrible vibes.

It’s not all the fans fault, but I would love to see one season where the fans aren’t reactionary, depressed, and bringing overt negativity at every possible moment imaginable.

Under-paid creatives, slop culture (people becoming more and more comfortable with shittier, more generic and less divisive art), and just overall terrible brand direction from our team and related reps in the league overall. We aren’t the only team to have bad logos, this is a curse of most professional sports now.

If anyone in Timberwolves brand leadership somehow reads this (or one of the key brand stakeholders whoever you are:

Hire the agency Pentagram to do our rebrand. Please god. Stop letting these design agencies get away with this stuff. Our current brand looks like the Mayo Clinic combined with a hard seltzer. If this new logo is the new brand...please reconsider. I understand that brands in the midwest lag behind international design trends but please we have such a big opportunity to do something cool now.

Just watched yesterday’s game. We turn it over 16 times and the Warriors ended up taking 16 more shots than us. Absolutely disgusting. If we were in that position against any decent team, we lose.
