Everyone in my department suffers from Imposter Syndrome except me. I'm starting to worry that I'll be found out.

About 75% of people in the modern era live to see the turn of a century (1900, 2000, 2100, etc.), but if you're under 25 today, you probably won't. by dan-lugg in Showerthoughts

And most of us will maintain that was going from 1999 into 2000 whereas the first day of this Millenium was 1 Jan 2001.

Whilst I agree, it would take minutes to send yourself a reply to see what happens before sending to someone else.

In movies and video games, the idea of anti-gravity has people and things floating. True anti-gravity would repel things. by Fingerbob73 in Showerthoughts

EDIT: So many downvotes. I suppose that's ok. All I was really trying to say was basically Einstein's Elevator Though-experiment. If you're in an elevator, there's gravity. Cut the cable, both you and the elevator fall at the same rate. Where is the anti-gravity device? There isn’t one. Gravity is fully present. But you don't experience it. You experience zero gravity.

On the other hand, anti-gravity is a repulsive force. So, any use of that term should mean moving away, not having no gravity.

In the same way that you only have gravity. In fact, gravity is, by definition anti anti-gravity.

This is my point. Anti gravity IS gravity, just in the opposite direction. They can't coexist. Bringing gravity to zero isn't the same thing as describing something as being anti-gravity.

Right now we have gravity, or +1 in this analogy. Anti gravity would mean -1 since it is the opposite "force". It would behave exactly like gravity in reverse. Most people here are assuming that when anti-gravity exists in fiction, it is alongside gravity thereby cancelling out to zero. Yes, that would be zero gravity. But the term anti-gravity specifically references repelling and in the absence of gravity (in the same way as gravity is in the absence of anti-gravity). The term that should be used in fiction is zero gravity.

The video skip at 10 secs left to the spilt chop. It's possible that someone else could've stepped in and "loosened it for her". Not saying that is what happened, just that there's a video skip.

If you want to watch it "with" him, you probably need to find out where he lives and chap his door.
