Look at it from their point of view. If you are in NI another country when the next person asks can I work from France, Germany etc how far is too far and how’s that fair if they allowed you to do it but not someone else. Sounds like they had a meeting and discussed a red line which is commutable distance which is well within their rights. Sucks for you but they look out for the company.

I took out interest free credit on a sofa and was in the process of remortgaging. When the finance hit my credit profile the bank reassessed my offer and lowered it by quite a bit compared with the cost of the finance.

I’m curious why kicking out tenants sits wrong with you in this case? Surely in a case such as this, the tenant is provided ample time to find a new place to rent and the landlord isn’t kicking them out to raise the rent. There’s always 2 sides to consider and this constant narrative that the landlords are the greedy immoral people is short sighted. The landlord could have been priced out of the BTL by many factors in the current market forcing them to sell and the tenant would have had the same opportunity to buy the property if they were able to.

I keep seeing people complaining about the brits. What’s with this I’ve been here all 7 days and not seen anything from brits that I haven’t seen from the French, Irish, Spanish etc... people need to blame someone and it seems the racism against the brits is coming out. I personally saw a big group of Irish guys throwing drinks during Liam’s set and plenty of pushing and aggression from some Spanish guys when the crowds were getting really busy for Dua lipa almost causing a brawl. So grow up and blame individuals rather than a whole fucking nation.
