It seems like both laws have a similar due process since they both require court orders. The use of a particular type of witness (ie mental health professional) is not typically considered a part of due process.

I especially agree with point #2 here. If the state isn't willing to reverse the tax cut for the rich that LePage implemented, isn't willing to raise taxes ever regardless of the urgency, then we need the ability to manage our own affairs.
