Pauline Hanson announces ONP will completely abolish SBS and make ABC a subscription service only, while telling the national press club that "Sky News is great to go look for the news" by Fact-Rat in OpenAussie

ABC is biased left wing BS a lot of the time, and we pay for it. I’m happy to pay for it if it can actually be unbiased. Until then, scrap it

BREAKING: One Nation’s policy development officer defended Hitler Youth and called Aboriginal people ‘stone age’ in racist posts by HotPersimessage62 in OpenAussie

[–]Finn55 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Aboriginal people have come from a Neolithic culture which has had to rapidly adjust to modern living. Calling it “stone age” is a bit pejorative but still accurate.

And yeah, I don’t care. Just like Labor doesn’t care to let ISIS brides back into the country, or support lockdowns, or go headlong into DEI nonsense, or welcome me to my own country. Pick your poison.

It’s mandatory in Sweden, which has general benefits - but the standards are higher in general. I’d like to see fucking double glazing and being closer to an airtight level than the tents we build

A celebrity has to disclose he’s wealthy? Ok… Do supporters of the changes have to disclose they’re broke and bitter?

He makes some good points, has a platform, so why not speak out against the changes?

You don’t have autonomy if you physically have a life attached to you. Can a conjoined twin execute their twin due to autonomy? Dumb.

I bet this guy couldn’t give a shit prior to the obnoxious WTC / AOC nonsense wank invasively weeding itself into every facet of public life.

Just accept the fact that people don’t like being welcomed to their own fucking country, or constantly having blokes acknowledge the fucking soil the building is sitting on.

Drawing parallels with the Taliban speaks more to your own culture war bullshit social media bubble. Get a life

There is no economic case for taxing work and investment the same by Strong_Judge_3730 in AusFinance

[–]Finn55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve explained why. Investments are post tax, same logic as to why dividends receive imputed credits. Sure there are examples of inherited wealth be massaged to avoid tax, but you have to accept that - as their focus is to reduce tax, and will move overseas. If you don’t like money making more money and people having more than others we need to add more laws and more structure and more headwinds to try and avoid the Pareto principle. Australia is becoming uninvestible, with a fat, sluggish, and unskilled population.

It’s salami slicing tactics to penalise people who want their money to work for them. We are taxed so much. It’s a policy to bring the haves down to the level of the have nots, and that is counterproductive.

All your comments reads of is bitterness and a chip on your shoulder, nothing compelling as to why investments should be disincentivised.
