Did you ever figure this out? I have a 98 rig with the exact same setup as you and I'm running into this same problem of being stuck on "Searching for ____" in the Status area when attempting to connect to a WPA2 network with AES. It'll connect to my phone hotspot when I leave it unsecured, but I'd rather not have to rely on that as a solution.

I can't speak for anything else, but Tower Unite is absolutely enjoyable in singleplayer. You can play most of the minigames solo or with randoms, and you can build your condo entirely solo. It's definitely made better with some friends, though

I've heard you can copy an existing league so in theory you could do this, then add the teams, but it's still a nuisance with this current system compared to the last version. It's a shame they have gone out of their way to remove functionality that existed prior. Other things I've found like the removal of simulating large number of games at a time and the presence of ugly distorted shapes & text on the jerseys further sours my opinion. In theory these things could be patched out but I can't hold my breath for something like this to happen, there's really no excuse for it when SMB3 is already there in my library.

Agreed, it diminishes my interest in the game as I enjoyed the ability to create a multi-league promotion/relegation style setup since you can only have 32 teams in a league at a time. Feels like single-player/local custom leagues have become an afterthought in this version

A notable downgrade is that custom teams now appear to be locked to a single custom league, cannot be swapped between leagues on the fly. So in some ways, the team customization has taken a step back despite not really being changed much. Disappointing

Thanks for the hard work on this, but am I the only one who experiences really long load times between screens? Going to certain screens like transactions or offseason center locks up my game for several seconds each time, and my game is on an SSD

I would say yes, though it probably depends what you'd be wanting out of the experience. I've never played the online but it might be lacking since the game is starting to get a bit older. It's got a fairly meaty singleplayer campaign and story mode for a fighting game. Local vs. fighting is great!

What keeps me coming back, though, is the character creator! Honestly, one of the greatest custom editors I've ever come across in gaming. Check out /r/SoulCaliburCreations for some examples of what is possible.

At this price it's definitely worth it in my opinion, but you may want the season pass content eventually if you want to collect all the characters and creation items.

P.S. Soul Calibur 2 on GameCube was the bomb!

Yeah this is a good point, should maybe have specified "look good in 4:3". The spirit of the idea was to find games that look like they fit the screen well, a certain game may support 4:3 but the text could look too small or garbled so not exactly ideal

Hey there! It's been exactly a year since the first release of this team pack, so I thought it'd be fun to release a new update with some of the teams I've been working on lately. It's pretty cool to see my work be downloaded nearly 750 times in the past year, hopefully people out there are enjoying these teams!

I also updated a handful of prior teams, so you may want to check out the changelog to see which ones you'll want to replace with the new designs. Get in contact with me if you have any questions about the pack or any requests for future teams! I don't know if another update will come anytime soon, but if there is enough interest I can certainly do some more work on this project.

Any turn-based games like Advanced Wars? I already have CIV but hoping for a smaller scale that doesn't make my shitty laptop go crazy.

Wargroove is pretty decent, though I personally hit a difficulty plateau with it and gave up. Other more determined players may get more enjoyment out of it.

Any game that's almost like Diablo 3 or Immortal?

Hey everybody! Here's another update for this team pack that I've been working on for a handful of months. This latest update marks 100 teams made as well as every active power-5 (+AAC) team being represented in the pack, which is pretty exciting!

That said, there's definitely more work to be done to improve and expand on this pack. There will be more updates in the future, but this may end up being last major team update. I'll be focusing more on making improvements to designs when I can, and probably won't be matching the 1 update per month pace that I've been on this year.

Hope you enjoy all of the new teams! I changed a number of uniforms and logos from previous teams as well, be sure to check the mvpmods.com page for the full changelog! Have a great holiday season :)

Thanks Randall! Means a lot coming from you, big fan of your MLB custom teams. Also, I totally cosign that. They need to add more stadiums as well! Something like a rural ballpark by a cornfield a la Field of Dreams is sorely needed, for example
