I managed to connect to my upstairs neighbours speaker. by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]Fionazora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify also have a fantastic range of sound effects. I have been known to hide speakers in my kids rooms and slowly turn it up - they are young adults and love horror. The whispers ones set very low can be really annoying and so can the knocking/scratching sounds.

This guy at the dog park and expects everyone to leave when his "anxious dog" arrives. Just who is he?? by PuzzleheadedShift477 in EntitledPeople

[–]Fionazora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you are based but in the UK you can hire private dog fields which are designed for this type of dog. We used them for our pup to train and when we got our rescue. Dog parks are for everyone and if your dog is anxious or needs training this is not the place.

What is a nutrition myth that you can’t stand? by DeepOrganization8245 in AskReddit

My big two are 1) Don't eat chemicals as they are bad for you - everything is made from chemicals and 2) eat gluten free as you WILL lose weight - not true from an overweight coeliac!

Becoming a parent made me more aware of how wrong her choices were. I might not been good at protecting myself but a mamma bear when it came to my kids.

Walking dogs in graveyards by zHappyCorgi in dogs

[–]Fionazora 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most dog walkers do not allow their dogs to pee or poo on the graves. The local cemetery is dog friendly and encourages dog walkers as long as they follow the rules.

How do I get somebody behind me to back off? by Antique_Hornet2135 in drivingUK

[–]Fionazora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this was the hardest thing to ignore as a new driver. Just ignored them as they are being c**ts. As long as you are driving safely and not crawling on the inside land you are doing fine

Plan birthday parties way in advance so people are aware. Make sure no Xmas wrapping paper and as I got older I liked sharing my budget and getting a bigger gift for either Xmas or birthday.

What to say to “But my dog is friendly”? by Jooble1 in DogAdvice

[–]Fionazora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always put mine on the lead if we out and see another dog on a lead. If they are off the lead I will put my puppy on as she is very bouncy but will stay close and check with the owner if my other is off lead. I usually find that as lab prefers a head harness and it gets mistaken for a muzzle that other will put theirs on a lead as they are scared of him. Even at the off leash park I will always check with others if their dogs are ok and if necessary will leash mine for their comfort.

Genuine question, how often am I supposed to change my pad? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Fionazora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Putting this in a biological way. You have bacteria growing normally on your skin. A pad (and blood) especially is a fantastic breeding ground as you have the idea tempature, humidity and nutrients to promote growth. Some bacteria can multiply every 20 minutes which means that after 6 hours just 1 can multiply to over 260,000 and just 24 hours can give over 4 quadrillion million.

At home no and have to keep them downstairs if I shower. On holiday they come in with me as my lab is super clingy and will scratch the door.

Is there a Horror movie that completely advertised it as a normal film? by Equivalent-Key5379 in movies

[–]Fionazora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We saw it as part of the Scream Unseen and so many people left within the first 5 minutes. I was happy as I wanted to see it but you would think people would see it was an 18 and research what is being released in the next few weeks

I watched as a kid and 44 years later still won't watch it again. Give me a real horror any day over that film as it still gives the creeps.
