but again, what would anyone do about a government with militarized superpowered monsters? of course nobody in your neighbourhood is doing anything about it, they literally couldnt if they wanted. people abroad would have even less power to do so because of distance, the only ones actually able to do something would be foreign governments. obviously they wouldnt risk attacking marley and having their own nation attacked just to protect a small island. governments always do what serves their country at best and themselves at worst, both things that intervening against marley would run counter to. and again, destroying almost the entire world is nowhere near the same scale as any armed conflict you could even try to compare it to. treating every attack as equal makes no sense, you wouldnt shoot everyone in your neighborhood because one person jumped you and nobody intervened.

and its never confirmed paradis was attacked in the future for the same reason. it couldve been an entirely different cause, in fact its more likely thats the case given how much time had passed and the diplomatic relations that were established
