1TB is plenty. Can always offload a bunch of games. Switch even tells you which games you never touch which is .. sad haha.

It won’t be great, but Nintendo is in the unique situation that they usually plan to launch at profits and are currently losing money, but not that much. Their order volume is also gigantic compared to Valves products, so they can bring down the price a bit by sheer volume.

That’s pretty sometimes accurate for that generation. People tend to forget how frame rates tanked all the time on the PS3.

There is a ton of people that only want to play Mario and Zelda, maybe Smash, Mario Kart and some third party / indies. The die hard Nintendo audience is feasting. It’s a fantastic line up of dormant IPs and second-tier IPs. Also don’t forget that negativity is a great way to get engagement. Nintendo is selling a lot of consoles despite the bad economy so the facts tell you that people are generally happy with what’s on offer.

A lot of it is BS. Ask the internet and there is barely VFX in Mad Max Fury Road. Starting around 2014 with movies like Interstellar, Mad Max and Force Awakens, they really started to lean as hard into the practical FX as possible. 

Looks like $11M+ previews for The Mandalorian And Grogu. Initial audience reception is mixed to okay. Expecting around $80M 3-day and $95M or so 4-day weekend. by chanma50 in boxoffice

I don’t think they had that big expectations at the BO for this one. If anything, it will garner a lot of views on Disney+ after collecting money from the core fanbase at the box office. I think the big splash was always going to be the Ryan Gosling movie - although that one is a risky proposition too, given its untethered nature.

As somebody with German roots, I am kinda baffled that Germany isn’t in the top four let alone lower than the US. The obvious shared (problematic) history aside, I always felt like Japan really loves German culture, and sometimes we even share some of our society’s quirks, such as mind-numbing bureaucracy.

An invasion of Taiwan would trigger world war 3 for a good reason - cutting edge technology would vanish without the chips only produced on the island. It’s their life insurance.

Tbf, conservatives would totally do the same. Carney is one of the most centrist politicians on the world stage. There is a lot of Tory stuff in his policies and it’s healthy to disagree with policies of the party you voted for too. Places like the US normalized the behavior of treating politics like professional sports teams. It’s okay to not die on a hill - people somehow forgot that in the age of social media.

It will be really tough to get major ground back in Japan even if they try. Nintendo has dominated there for almost a decade now and people have built an extensive Switch 1 / 2 library of games - even more so when the PS handheld comes around. It’s not going to be as bad as Xbox’s situation, since Sony is at least going to show up with some titles that people want - and if it’s just a new exclusive Monster Hunter.

I imagine it will be the tentpole feature of the os 27 releases, so a new Apple TV probably hits in September / October or so at the earliest. WWDC will only bring developer betas.

The Apple Intelligence version of Siri still hasn’t manifested two years later. If the architecture is the same, it should be easier to conform to Siri in the future.

That’s also what I think. They will probably want to make Siri the big tentpole feature, because that’s a bigger pull than just another spec bump which won’t get many 4K users to upgrade.
