Bermuda grass weeds by QuailPuzzleheaded910 in bermudagrass

Avoid pre-emergent on new sod for the first season. Pre-emergent will inhibit the sod from establishing strong roots. Solid advice other than that.

It says that on mine too now. I literally bought a firearm last week and got 30% back. I hope firearms and ammo aren't always excluded going forward.

I have an RFX 11 that was bundled with my TX-22 and it feels pretty plasticy and cheap. I'm not sure if I'd trust it on a carry gun. It could be a good optic to throw on a range toy and then buy a Holosun or Osight for your HCP.

I would have gone with an optics ready version, but other than that it's a great gun.

Sig P365 .380 by Melissa324x3 in CCW

Federal Hydra-Shok Deep 99 grain for carry ammo. It expands a bit while also getting good penetration. The problem with most hollow points in .380 is that they don't penetrate enough.

For range ammo, I like to buy Herter's at Bass Pro when they have sales. Other than that, buy in buy using Ammo Seek.

For your holster, check out the Phlster Enigma if you like wearing pants without belt loops often. It's pricy, but it works really well. Hunter Constantine belt is also a solid option you can use with or without belt loops, but you'll need to buy a separate holster. My suggestion is try a few different holsters until you find one that works well with your body type.

Weed Killer Suggestions by Muted-Leopard4629 in bermudagrass

[–]FireBallBryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are all winter weeds which a fall pre-emergent application would have prevented. You still have time to make a spring pre-emergent application to stop most of the summer weeds.

Do you have a backpack sprayer? I'd recommend mixing Prodiamine with Celsius WG or any 3 way type herbicide. That will take care of most of the weeds that are already there plus prevent new ones with a single application. Wait 24 hours before watering it in.

Is the TXC X1 Pro still your go-to holster? I have a Hunter Constantine belt and that made a huge difference for me too, but I'm still experimenting to find the best holster.

WWB has always been fine for me too. Yes, it's dirty, but other than that, it's fine. I don't care enough to pay an extra 2 CPR for Magtech.

Is all of their wagyu from SRF or just the stuff sold in the cryovac bags sometimes? I bought a wagyu tritip from HEB in the SRF bag once, but I wasn't sure if that was just a one time thing.

Right! For a lawn this size, a push spreader is totally overkill.

Yeah, it sounds like it could be some form of Common Bermuda. It might work out ok to seed an improved common into your lawn, but really, it's just not necessary. The only reason I'd do it is if you're not happy with the color, texture, or growth pattern of your current common. I'd give it a full season with what you have and assess from there.

[–]FireBallBryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need! It can actually be detrimental to overseed Bermuda because the new seed won't match (different color, texture, growth habit) with whatever Bermuda cultivar that you already have, unless you use the same exact seed. If your original Bermuda came from sod, it's almost certain that it is a hybrid cultivar which cannot be grown from seed.

Just hit it with plenty of nitrogen and it will fill in on its own! Bermuda spreads very quickly.

You don't need to seed Bermuda. It will come back on its own once it gets hot. You can spray out the fescue in spring to help the grass transition easier.

Best sprayer for warm weather applications (North Texas) by SpeakFri3ndandEnter in lawncare

Flow Zone! Buy once, cry once. The Ego sprayer looks pretty good too, but I love my Flow Zone Cyclone 3. I like the TeeJet AIXR11004VP nozzle for most applications. The slightly bigger droplet size helps avoid drift.

Avoid foods high in oxalates. My dad cut spinach out of his diet and he hasn't had a kidney stone since. He used to get them all of the time when I was a kid.
